Obama lies about Kennedy and King:

1.In a speech to a Selma, Alabama crowd meant to pump up his civil-rights movement authenticity and his Kennedy Camelot image, Barack Obama claimed that the Kennedy administration paid for his Kenyan father to travel to America on a student scholarship and therefore was responsible for his “very existence”. However, the first march on Selma took place on March 7, 1965. Obama would have been about three and half years old at that time. For some reason the media never did the math on this. Contrary to Obama’s claims in speeches in January at American University and in Selma last year, the Kennedy family did not provide the funding for a September 1959 airlift of 81 Kenyan students to the United States that included Obama’s father.

2.Relating the story of how his parents met, Obama said: “There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Junior was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Alabama.” bloggers pointed out that the Selma bridge protest occurred four years after Obama’s birth.

By 1965, Barack Obama Sr had already abandoned his wife and child and was back in Africa, with his original wife who he never divorced.

When Mitt Romney stated that he saw his father march with Martin Luther King Jr., there was wall to wall media coverage reporting how he had to start backpeddaling. Even after witnesses came forward claiming they had seen his father march with him, the media story of Mitt fabricating the story still persists.

DID Obama get the same media treatment with his lies? HELL NO!

If Clinton misrepresents facts to events she experienced, she is being a bad witness. Clinton was immediately in the situation she claimed to represent, and she did so inaccurately and inconsistently.

To show it's a lie, at the very least you need to show that it was likely that he knew what he said was wrong. And we can do that with the Romney claim since he claimed he actually saw this. We can do that with Hillary's Bosnia lie as well since she claimed this happened to her directly.

19. Historical dates DO matter. That's why we memorize them in school.

If Obama got it wrong, that tells me that he doesn't particularly care about the event (not the cause, the event). Dates are very relevant. I wasn't born in 1941, but I know when Pearl Harbor Day is, and if I am studying events that occurred around that date, I date them before or after.

I actually think it was quite a blunder on his part. Knowing if something happened before or after you were born is pretty big, especially when you are making a claim on that event. That could have been very easily fact checked.

This story was in our paper and got no traction on the airwaves.

As to Obama, you can only make it a "lie" if you change what he said. He never said that his parents met at Selma the way the Clintonites claim. He was using Selma as an analogy for the history of the civil rights movement.

And yes, the specific airlift that his father came in on was not in fact paid for by the Kennedys--though they DID fund the project, starting in 1959. Give the man a break for not knowing the accounting details of an inititive from before he was born.

That's also a far cry from making up out of whole cloth a SNIPER ATTACK against you and your TEENAGE DAUGHTER.
