Poll question: Who is the biggest right-wing talk show shill for the White House?
You know them. You might have even heard them... Which one is the WORST.

1. Obviously Rush Limbaugh.
The others are awful, but they can't beat Rush in the size category.

3. I sort of agree, but Hannity is definitely up there too
I could hear Rush defend Bush if he shot his dog in the head on TV. He'd say the dog took too many pees on the carpet and Bush was in a "frat hazing mood".

But I feel Hannity would say ANYTHING the RNC tells him to say, which would include the need for martial law to protect our freedom.

Look fro that one around October 28 this year.

2. Other... Kate O'Beirne
she never ONCE expresses an original thought. She only spouts what's on today's blast-fax.

5. Who voted for Wolf Blitzer? He isn't even a talk show host.
Whether he's biased/slanted is certainly arguable. I've seen evidence that suggests he let's some of his views cloud his case that he is objective. But his show's own "hard news" slogan is far, far, less laughable than anything on fox.

He also seemed like a nice guy regardless of politics when he was on Bill Maher's show.

7. I remember Wolfie in the first Gulf War

All the dude needed was a Pentagon pin on his lapel. He is indeed a shill and I would even consider his "show" very much like anything O'Reilly or Hannity do. He just does it under the disguise of appearing to be "neutral journalism".

Edward Murrow would bitch-slap his sorry ass.

6. I think Hannity has surpassed Rush. Hannity actually believes his lies.

8. Ruin Sean's Friday! Vote early and often!

In the spirit of payback being a bitch, and in the tradition of electronically rigged elections:

On Air America's "Majority Report" tonight, the hosts issued a call for listeners to vote for Kerry in Hannity's online unscientific poll. Within an hour and a half, AA listeners had posted several thousand votes and turned Hannity's shill poll from 95% Bush to 4 % Kerry to (at the moment) 62% Kerry to 37% Bush. Childish, maybe, but great fun and it sends a message to Sean and his minions that they are not the only ones who can shout down an opponent. At least until the Freepers get a hold of it and vote it back the other direction (watch slimeball ask his listeners to vote on his website for * on his show tomorrow, though he probably loves all the traffic, no matter where it comes from) . . Sean and his webmaster will wake up in the morning to find an embarassing surprise on the site.

Anyone with a few moments should consider helping the cause. You can vote as often as you like if you turn off the cookies in your browser prefs. I added the extra touch of voting (about 50 times) via an anonymous proxy (www.@nonymouse.com) so the webmaster will be stymied when he looks at the IP hit log.

www.hannity.com-- disgusting, amateur, cheesy-looking website, and you have to see SH's shit-ugly mug, but with a little vigorous DU effort, we could make it truly embarassing, like 80/20 for Kerry perhaps . . .

Happy voting -- it'll be good practice for November.

9. I like your style!
And I like real country music.
Hank Williams Sr., Waylon, Willie and the boys...
Actually, I like bluegrass better.

10. F with Hannity update: 72-26 for Kerry as of 9:30 AM (15,000 votes)
Edited on Fri May-28-04 08:45 AM by realcountrymusic
Nice work -- approx. 5000 new votes on Sean's "poll" since last night, pushing Kerry's "lead" to 72-26. Even the Freepers are going to have to work a bit to turn that around. See my previous post for details on how to ruin Hannity's (and his fans') morning.

Used to like Bluegrass. Heard it from too many nice Volvos in the last few years. The left must not abandon the white working class as a lost cause. Listen to country music, at least the hard stuff, and it's not all Toby Keith. It's the music of an anger we should be able to reach and engage with, rather than ceding it to the right's manipulations. Hell, it's a good way of feeling your own anger -- at least for me. Anger is good, at this sort of historical moment.

Irony is, most "rednecks" (their term) I know are good and intelligent people. Pissed off good people. Condescending to them is the biggest mistake the left can make in American politics. Writing them off is the second biggest.

But de gustibus non disputandam est and all that.
