Over 63,000 in 24 Hours Sign Petition Between 11 PM Eastern yesterday, when Governor Dean sent his letter to the grassroots, and that time today, more than 63,000 Americans signed the petition calling for accountability in our voting systems.
The number now stands at 64,459.
The amazing thing about that number is that your invitations are driving it -- nearly 10,000 of those signatures came from invitations you sent to friends and family after signing the petition.
If you haven't joined the call, do it now. And spead the word to everyone you know that Americans demand that every vote be counted this November.
Posted by Joe Rospars at 12:18 AM xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx My note: I got a little upset this morning about some of the critical posts about this petition. It may not be exactly what all of us want, but it is having attention called to it. I would rather go back to the paper ballots myself. I have heard all the arguments, but I think if you read the whole blog page.....they explain all the various issues well.
Here we finally have a major political figure taking up the cause, and we should not be so picky about it.
