Well, so much for the relative calm in GDP.
We had some time when, if not really peaceful, GDP was at least somewhat rational and tolerable. There were even some reasonable discussions between Obama and Clinton supporters. While not friendly, it was at least civil.

Then the boycotting Clinton supporters came back, and the place is once again filled to the brim with smears, propaganda, temper tantrums, Republican-style tactics, talking points, and hit pieces.

Even the (non-psycho, of course) Clinton supporters have to realize that this handful of people is responsible for a vast amount of the hatred and vitriol spread around GDP.

The non-crazy Clinton supporters also have to realize that admitting this doesn't in any way lessen their support or cause them to lose anything. Just because they're pushing the same candidate you are doesn't mean that you need to protect them or adopt their tactics. In fact, doing so is the worst possible thing for your cause.

3. Just use the *plonk*.
It's made things much more tolerable for me.

Much better than constant screaming matches - if someone's being a jackass, off to the ignore list they go.

4. The acid-test: will you vote Dem in the GE
regardless of our primary outcome.

Personally (and it is a very personal thing), I think that if the answer is no, either way, some serious thought should be put into whether you belong here at all. I see a lot of bitter attacks, even more bitter than any McCain campaign would put up with.

If a person cannot support a Democratic candidate selected according to the party's rules, and professes the intention of exiting the party and perhaps lighting as many fires on the way out as possible, is that what we need, in this time and place? I fly the Obama avatar on my posts...that was a lengthy decision. But I will support the Democratic nominee. If anyone else here can't, my own patience is wearing a bit thin.

Just saying, if I see Limbaugh or Hannity's flag flying here - as in "Operation Chaos", Derail the Dems, splitting the party, etc. it will not be welcome.

5. Explain to me how anyone supporting the proven pathological liar clinton is somehow isn't crazy.

She's lied. This is utterly undeniable... yet some here deny it.

Is that not, itself, crazy?

8. Funny, there were a lot of Clinton supporters still here who were happy to engage rationally.
Pity not all are willing to do that.
