Dean's rally with Joe Hoeffel sounds like it was fun.

SNIP.."There is something about Howard Dean's enthusiasm that Democrats find irresistibly infectious.

The former presidential candidate - three months after his campaign collapsed - proved yesterday he still can froth up a crowd, as he appeared at a Philadelphia rally for U.S. Senate candidate Joseph M. Hoeffel.

Even the usually reserved Hoeffel seemed bitten by the Dean bug. Hoeffel rolled up his shirtsleeves in Dean fashion and tried to out-holler the former Vermont governor at the microphone.

"He showed us how to fight!" Hoeffel shouted yesterday, as he introduced Dean at the Paper, Allied-Industrial, Chemical and Energy Workers union hall in Center City. "He put the kick back in the donkey!"

Hoeffel had been a Gephard supporter, but together he and Dean got around $100,000 at the fundraiser. This is great. This is how you take your country back.

2. Were you there, LSM?
:hi:

That would have been neat. He looks so dignified, and it sounded like fun.

3. wo0t!!
But at the request of mutual friends, Dean agreed to overlook that snub and last night attend a Hoeffel fund-raiser at a private home in Bryn Mawr, providing a much-needed $100,000 shot in the arm to Hoeffel's war chest.

4. I thought that was neat. He carries no grudges at all.
That is amazing to me, because I am terrible grudge carrier. I admire gracious people. :hi:

6. If we take back the House &/or Senate
Hopefully Dean will get some credit. The dude running against DeLay was on O'Franken today. He's one of the Dean dozen. I think his name is Richard Morrison. I'd love if we won that seat, would be a payback for Delay and his redistricting BS!!

8. Dean is doing everything a defeated primary candidate SHOULD do...
to keep his name alive and his ideas discussed.

But the absolute best thing about Dean's post primary performance is that he isn't trying to promote himself, he's actually kept his word and is promoting the whole damn Dem Party!

The Doc Rocks!

Kerry may be getting the job of POTUS, but Dean will be the backbone of the party for some time to come.

He's proving to be EXTREMELY effective in raising money for House and Senate candidates.

I also think it shows Dean's true character -- he has shown that the election coming up is not about him. It's about taking back the country.

I was critical of him during the primaries and at times found him somewhat arrogant and egotistical, but he's been a real team player...I take back whatever I thought.

10. I was at the union one
Couldn't afford the $200 for the Bryn Mawr one. It was cool, there were only like 50 people there. Unfortunately, Dean was late so our questions were cut short. I had a nice convo with Hoeffel though. Nice guy.
