Edwards Praises Both Clinton, Obama
Attention, fellow Dems: This is what classy looks like

Edwards Praises Both Clinton, Obama

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Former Sen. John Edwards, in his first public speech since dropping his White House bid two months ago, praised Democratic rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama on Saturday, but declined to endorse either candidate.

"I have a very high opinion of both of them," Edwards said at the Young Democrats of North Carolina convention. "We would be blessed as a nation to have either one of them as president."

. . .

Pressed by reporters to detail any endorsement plans, Edwards declined to even say if he would endorse a candidate before North Carolina's May 6 primary.

2. They're both good. But Clinton's foreclosure and healthcare policies are more progressive. nt

7. Krugman's support is very important to me.
But, I'm sorry to say, that Bosnia gaff IS a Big Deal.

Now, don't go accusing me of being an Obamabot. I'm an Edwards-ian Deanocrat. My daughter is still supporting Clinton and my daughter's opinion is also a Big Deal to me. But, I've finally decided I just can't go there.

5. I agree with both John and Bill .
The two of them togeather would be a good combination, since we can't have Bill the next best thing is Hillary and John. Or Gore.. not much difference in the three.

8. Agreed.
Edwards is a class act. And I don't blame him for not wanting to get too heavily involved in this part of the process.
