BREAKING NEWS: Staff Sgt. Matt Maupin's remains found in Iraq.
Edited on Sun Mar-30-08 06:12 PM by Connie_Corleone
Channel 5 news in Cincinnati just broke in to say that Staff Sgt. Matt Maupin's remains have been found and his parents will hold a press conference. DNA was used to identify him.

He's been missing in Iraq since 2004.

On edit: changed the year to 2004.

2. Goddamn.
Just...Goddamn the waste of it all. How do people sleep at night behind this out-of-control meat-grinder of a war?

Honestly, I hate to admit it but I forgot the name.

No excuses, it was horrible of me to forget. I am sorry for that.

I hope this makes up for it, if only a little

6. This will be a relief to his family and fellow soldiers, I would imagine.
One of my best friends was his staff sergeant in Iraq. It has really bothered him that they hadn't found his body, although everyone was almost certain that he was dead.
