The Bushit is about to hit the fan.......
I think Colin is going to jump ship. And they are going to throw
Dick overboard and pick up either Ridge or Rudy.

While getting either of those two will boost them in middle america, it will make
conservatives marginal at best.....brushed aside because they weren't pretty enough to be in front of America.

Colin leaving on the other hand, will evaporate that middle lead when they see the moderate jump the ship of doom.

What do you think is going to happen in the Shrub camp?

1. Just out of curiosity, what makes you believe Colin is about to jump ship?
I know he is terribly unhappy but he has played the good soldier for so long, I think he can/will last another 6 months.

I would be thrilled if he did jump ship but I just don't see it happening. Did you see him yesterday sitting right beside the chimp while the chimp was giving Isreal a slight slap on the wrist? I don't think the seating chart was accidental.

2. I can agree only that
something profound is about to happen.

If the repubs think that rearranging the ticket in some way can help the campaign effort they won't hesitate. If could be Cheney who gets the axe or it could be Powell. My money is on Cheney because he's the greatest liability to the party ...he appeals only to the most neo of the neoconservatives he does nothing for the middle America vote.

I have said this in a lot of other posts but it bears repitition:

McCain's constant media presence is not an accident. It's on purpose. What, precisely that purpose is, I don't know. He could well play into this scenario.

9. I have been wondering about all this crap re McCain being Kerry's vp
coming out of the blue. Maybe the set up is that Cheney drops out, McCain becomes Bush vp, which supposedly burns Kerry. I know, jr high, but that is the way these folks think.
I also think the whole lot of them are strung out on ambien and other prescription meds.

11. Wanna put on the tinfoil hat?
What if:

Dubya dumps Cheney....puts McCain on the ticket.

The Repubs win (shudder).

McCain then "discovers" high crimes and Misdemeanors by Bushco and gets the Congress ot impeach Dubya.

McCain becomes Pres....

on the way out, McCain looks at Bush and says "Thought I forgot about South Carolina didn't you, Asshhole?"

:tinfoilhat:

That's just for fun...........

neocon. Regarding the :tinfoilhat: - I've had tinfoil implanted in my skull, just under my scalp, so that I could never leave home without it!

26. NEver, ever happen!
McCain will NOT be VP for anyone.

Bush & McCain hate each other.

And if you think McCain would be 2nd banana to Shrub, you do not know McCain.

And Shrub would never trust him.

Add to that, the Fundies HATE McCain.

10. You mean Bush picks up McCain as VP?
That would be classic Rove bait and switch. Build up support in the media for McCain by spreading rumors about Kerry selecting him, all of it being a ruse. Interesting.

18. It would match McCain's VietNam with Kerry's VietNam ...
... and take Bush's AWOL out of the discussion.

End of military service (or lackthereof) being a campaign issue.

I can see the Puglies doing it in a hot minute.

14. They won't get rid of anyone
That would signal way too much discord and would freak out most of his base, meaning that they would think things really are falling apart. Breaking up the "team" is tantamount to an admission of failure, something Bush is incapable of acknowledging

are pro-choice. The wrong wingers would never stand for them to be nominated.

15. Giuliani is still pro-choice and he's got more morals baggage
than Clinton.

I won't say it's impossible, but Giuliani would give the Dems sooooooooooooo freakin' much ammunition it wouldn't be funny. The puke base would go apoplectic.

8. They Won't Throw Dick Overboard 'Cause He's The President...
Edited on Thu May-20-04 04:50 PM by GR
Powell may be getting ready to jump though. McCain wouldn't take the VP on Bush's ticket. Rudy or Ridge wouldn't help as they are opposed to many of Bush's key policies.

They must stick with Dick...

16. No way. Who would have the authority or power to dump the Tinman?
They will run the sleaziest, most dishonest, and criminal campaign in world history if Bush is trailing in the fall, but only Cheney has the power to remove Cheney.

19. John Dean said running Cheney again was basically political suicide.
His reasoning was mostly Cheney's health status, but also his Halliburton skeletons.

Cheney will drop off the ticket and work his puppet from behind, rather than beside.

they won't EVER be picked. Otherwise expect Roy Moore to get 5-10% of the vote.
