MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Former Vice President Al Gore says he sees no urgency in endorsing a presidential candidate.

But he tells The Associated Press that he expects the nomination fight to resolve itself before the Democratic convention in August.

Gore made the comments after a speech at Middle Tennessee State University on Thursday. He didn't elaborate on how he expects the nomination to be decided before the Denver convention.

Neither Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton is on track to win enough delegates in primaries and caucuses to clinch the nomination, so superdelegates like Gore could decide the winner.

Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen has proposed the nearly 800 superdelegates cast ballots in a two-day primary in June after the last voter primary to avoid a prolonged nomination fight.

end.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like Mr. Gore and a few others, I have no endorsement of either Clinton or Obama. And In Mr. Gore's case he owes no one an endorsement, and basically his superdelegate vote will be his endorsement. However, I know John McCain cannot win in November because it would be the third Bush term if he did. I am then hoping that both Sens. Clinton and Obama will come to some sort of peace and that this will work out. Now, while I have reservations about both of the, I too do not wish to see a brokered convention. It would not serve this coutnry well. Therefore, I agree with Mr. Gore that a nominee will hopefully be set before the convention, provided that the people left to vote get that chance.
I also expect that Mr. Gore, who is now a statesman and party elder will do all he can to work with all the candidates and others to mend any breeches. The time will come in the next three to four months when the Democratic party will have to get together to fight against the insidious lies of the Republican party that has torn our country asunder, and also make amends for their own part in that. I have faith in Mr. Gore that he will never let this country down and will do all in his power to continue to be a guiding force for the party, but more importantly for our country. He will be instrumental in working with the next president to forge an international climate treaty, and legislation that will move NOW to effectively deal with the climate change that is already changing the face of our planet. And I for one love and respect him immensely for all he continues to do and will do.
4. Thanks. At least it isn't baseless speculation that is disrespectful to him
I'm tired of seeing it actually.
