My "Veteran for Kerry" bumpersticker was defaced
I should be glad it was the sticker and not the car I guess.

Someone drew a cricle with a line through it over "Kerry". I tend to see more Kerry stickers locally. In fact, I haven't yet seen a Bush/Cheney sticker in town.

I got a new car yesterday and the first thing I did was slap a Kerry sticker on it. :)

1. Good for you.
Every so often someone here expresses concern about having certain bumper stickers on a car. I currently have two bumper stickers on my car: War and Greed are not Christian and No More Bushit. Oddly enough, no one seems to notice either one of them. I've had no reaction to them, either pro or con, that I've noticed.

So you keep a Kerry sticker on and, if you want, add as many anti-Bush ones as you please.

2. Up here in Maine?
That's just not right. It is good though that it was just the sticker and not the car. But from what I'm seeing whoever did this is going to be very busy. The Kerry stickers and anti-*bush stickers are everywhere these days.
I haven't seen any support for the chimp-in-chief here lately. So much for Maine being a swing state.

8. rural maine is full of wingnuts
my parents live in Millinocket. I was up there off and on during some of the anti-gay referenda in the 90's and noticed all the lawn signs were for the anti gay side and non for the pro gay side. Either people were a-political or dittoheads...

5. A friend of mine who had a "no W" sticker on her car
It was the sticker that has a circle around the W and a red line through it...she found that a vacuum cleaner had been thrown through the windshield of her vehicle. And they had defaced the sticker by scraping it with something. A vacuum cleaner!

What is wrong with these idiots, anyway? Are they so afraid of losing this election that they resort to thuggery and lawlessness to try and intimidate us? Exactly what threatens them to the point that they can get this angry and hate-filled?

6. Are they afraid....

Yes, they are.

And, btw, these are the people that think Shrub is "one of ," a "normal guy," and "someone can relate to." They have no interpersonal skills, no real intelligence, and no ability to argue their case. So, they have to resort to violence and/or public acts of stupidity and harassment.

Just like Shrub.

I have a "Lick Bush/Beat Dick" sticker on my truck...and full coverage insurance that covers acts of vandalism.

7. God, these people are crazy.
If I see a Bush/Cheney sticker, I may roll my eyes, but I'm not going to break the law and defile their property! What nutjobs.

12. Exactly!
I may question the driver's sanity (to myself) but I'd never think of doing any sort of damage to the car. Freedom of speech and all that.

10. Road rage too
A friend of mine has a few pro-Kerry, anti-Bush stickers and once a guy (in an enormous SUV, of course) followed him for miles, honking and screaming and making obscene gestures. My friend jotted down his license plate and reported the idiot to the cops.

The hard-core Bush supports can be scary, twisted folks.

13. sigh....
I am attending a graudation next Monday in an ultra-conservative area of the county. Afterwards, I am going to a celebration in an ultra-conservative neighborhood with people who are supporting *ush. I have my John Kerry bumper sticker on my car and they can all get over it. If they start knocking Kerry and talk about *ush - - I am NOT holding back. I will speak my mind. I am not ashamed of who I am supporting and most of all I am PROUD to be voting for the best, most qualified person - - JOHN KERRY!!!!
