4. Wheres the Rev Wright's HATE speeches that Obama sat thru for 20yrs?
He's never been out in any of these disasters. He's been sitting in Chicago soaking up Wright's Racial Divide in HATING America..

Hardly an apt portrayal of Obama's dream in that video.. Only place he was seen is in a photo-op during his campaign.

FRAUD-FRAUD-FRAUD..

If you believe this Fairytale.. you need HELP!

You can't. So how about you just the hell up, cover your head with your hands and run for cover back under that rock that you crawled out of.

to be proud of all this country has done. I wish I could feel the same way. There is so much that I am not proud of. Actually I am ashamed...Keep in mind that these are estimates based on government statistics. Imagine those that are not reported...
http://www.yesican.org/stats.html
Finding of the NIS-3:

* The estimated number of children seriously injured by all forms of maltreatment quadrupled between 1986 and 1993, from 141,700 to 565,000 (a 299% increase).
* Considering the Harm Standard:
* The estimated number of sexually abused children increased 83%;
* The number of physically neglected children rose 102%;
* There was a 333 % increase in the estimated number of emotionally neglected children; and
* The estimated number of physically abused children rose 42%.

Girls are sexually abused three times more often than boys.

Boys are at a greater risk of serious injury and of emotional neglect than are girls.

The incidence of fatally injured girls declined slightly, while the incidence of fatally injured boys rose.

Found no race differences in maltreatment incidence.

Poverty is significantly related to incidence rates in nearly every category of maltreatment. Compared to children whose families earned $30,000 or more, children in families with annual incomes below $15,000 were:

* More than 22 times more likely to experience maltreatment under the Harm Standard and 25 times more likely under the Endangerment Standard.
* More than 44 times more likely to be neglected, by either definitional standard.
* Over 22 times more likely to be seriously injured using either definitional standard.
* 60 times more likely to die from maltreatment under the Harm Standard.

How many children are abused and neglected in the United States?
http://pediatrics.about.com/od/childabuse/a/05_abuse_stats.htm?terms=statistics+on+child+abuse
Each week, child protective services (CPS) agencies throughout the United States receive more than 50,000 reports of suspected child abuse or neglect. In 2002, 2.6 million reports concerning the welfare of approximately 4.5 million children were made.

In approximately two-thirds (67 percent) of these cases, the information provided in the report was sufficient to prompt an assessment or investigation. As a result of these investigations, approximately 896,000 children were found to have been victims of abuse or neglect—an average of more than 2,450 children per day.

More than half (60 percent) of victims experienced neglect, meaning a caretaker failed to provide for the child's basic needs. Fewer victims experienced physical abuse (nearly 20 percent) or sexual abuse (10 percent), though these cases are typically more likely to be publicized. The smallest number (7 percent) were found to be victims of emotional abuse, which includes criticizing, rejecting, or refusing to nurture a child.

An average of nearly four children die every day as a result of child abuse or neglect (1,400 in 2002).

• In 2000, 1.5 million U.S. children had an incarcerated parent. Between 1990-2001, the number of women in prison increased by 106%.
• In 1995, 12% of children in foster care had not received routine health care. 90% had not received services to address developmental delays.
• Between 1992-2002, the number of infants and toddlers entering foster care increased by 110%.
• In 1993, more than 60% of the homeless population in NYC municipal shelters were former foster youth.

• According to a 1999 report, less than 50% of foster youth had graduated from high school, compared to 85% of the general population.
---------------------------------------
There are more than half a million children and youth in the U.S. foster care system, a 90% increase since 1987.Three of 10 of the nation’s homeless are former foster children.
A recent study has found that 12-18 months after leaving foster care:
27% of the males and 10% of the females had been incarcerated

33% were receiving public assistance
37% had not finished high school
50% were unemployed
Children in foster care are three to six times more likely than children not in care to have emotional, behavioral and developmental problems,

A study by the National Center for Mental Health and Juvenille Justice found 70% of these youth meet the criteria for at least one mental health disorder. What's worse is that 36% of the parents of these youth intentionaly involved the juvenille justice system to access mental health services...some 12,700 children were places in either child welfare, or the juvenilled justice systems to access mental health systems (U.S. GAO 2003) Of course, the U.S. DOJ in recent investigations into the conditions in these juvenille detention and correctional facilities, found inadequate access to treatment, inappropriate use of medications, and neglect of suicide attempts nationwide (U.S.DOJ 2005).
---80 percent of prison inmates have been through the foster care system.

* 872,000 children and youth were confirmed victims of abuse or neglect in the United States in 2004.

Children are 11 times more likely to be abused in State care than they are in their own homes.

Children who will age out of the foster care system 300,00015
Foster youth aging out of the system that will experience homelessness 75,00016
Foster youth aging out of the system that graduate from college 9,00017
Number of children killed by abuse or neglect 22,50018

Nationwide, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers are increasingly focusing on a growing tragedy—large numbers of youth with mental health problems becoming involved in the juvenile justice system. A recent study by the National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice
found approximately 70% of the youth in residential juvenile justice settings meet criteria for at least one mental health disorder(Shufelt &Cocozza, 2006).

--According to the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, since 1990 the incarceration of youth in adult jails has increased 208%. On any given day, more than 7,000 young people are held in adult jails.

-- Increasing numbers of young people have been
placed in adult jails where they are at risk of assault, abuse, and death.
Currently, 40 states permit or require that youth charged as adults be placed pre-trial in an adult jail, and in some states they may be required to serve their entire sentence in an adult jail. According to the National Council on Crime and Delinquency, since 1990 the incarceration of youth in adult jails has increased 208%.
http://www.campaign4youthjustice.org/Downloads/NEWS/JPI014Consequences_Summary.pdf

In 1985 one out of every 320 Americans were in jail.

In 1995 one out of every 167 Americans were in jail.

Between1980 and 1994, the number of people in federal and state prisons increased 221%.

Today, 2 million Americans are in prison.
1.2 million are African-American men.

17. huh...
I'm sorry but this video to someone whom neither Senator Clinton nor Senator Obama was a first choice seems to be a "fanboy" video with almost no substance at all.

Many of the images used it in have nothing to do Senator Obama.

Its an appeal to try and get me to be emotional that is transparent.

Showing pictures of Katrina and other flood victims isn't making me like or dislike Senator Obama any more or less than I did before.

Thats how I feel about the Video. My feelings on Senator Obama are mixed at best and would take a lot longer to explain, and I don't feel engaged to do that prompted by a flimsy video.

peace

45. The negative images are to show us where our govt. is NOW as opposed to where it can go
with Obama as president.

24. After reading some of the responses here, do we really deserve...
a president like Obama? If these comments are representative of the majority of Americans, we deserve to have another president like bush that will continue the wars for oil and keep the wealthy fat while they rape the rest of us. If thats the case...vote Clinton and you will get those things over again!

By looking at the votes that have already been placed so far, I don't think Americans want bush lite, bush jr or anyone at all like him and I think thats why Obama has the lead he has right now. The media and the Clinton's will do whatever it takes to keep him from winning but I don't think clear thinking Americans will accept what the media and the elite want this time around. We either get it right this time or I see America having a new history wrote that wont be good for average Americans!

47. I think that is where...
'the audacity of hope' comes in. I don't think that the comments here are representative of the American people. I do believe they are representative of Politics as usual, and a certain sect of our society that has inherited illusions of grandeur.

69. Just makes me feel good to see so many young people out...
and supporting a politician, so when I saw them in the video it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I also like the title, "The tide is turning" because I believe that our younger generation isn't as blind as some of us that have given up on the system. Just maybe, with those younger children now out campaigning, maybe they can be the torch that sets all of our asses on fire to get up and fix the mess that we have allowed to take place. We have enabled corrupt politicians on both sides to rape our country for their pleasure and just maybe the tide is about to turn in the American peoples direction.

Just sent it in a mass email, and linked to it on my website. :)

Let them all know to actually listen to the lyrics closely while watching the slideshow of pictures. It made my chest hurt.

51. Honestly and truly I cannot understand Hillary Clinton supporters in
this point in time in the race. Look at who, what, your destroying for your country. I can't understand why they listen to MSM. It is SO obvious they want Hillary IN and we have this chance that is possibly being thrown away. Step up and think of your country over Hillary's selfishness in a she wins or no wins race.

EVERYONE KNOWS Hillary WILL NOT win this election and it's up to you supporters of Hillary to tell her your not going to be used for her bid 2012 by fucking up the country over the next 4 years with McCain. We all know both sides Obama and Hillary supporters are full of it when they say they will vote for McCain in Nov if their candidate is not chosen. So please save our country. Did I sell you:). Well I tried. :grouphug:

This is all we can say about Hillary's race. She has every right to be in this race. I can tell her to get out, but ultimately that decision is hers. And that decision is to "use" your donor money for a run in 2102. Can we please have a democrat in the WH this season? Those bills of Bush's are just sitting there ready for McCain to make permanent. But the bottom line is this country will get what it deserves.
