New ACT Polls Show Kerry Beating Bush in Battleground States

New polling in Florida and Wisconsin shows Senator John Kerry moving ahead of President Bush in these key battleground states.

The Florida poll shows that despite spending some $11.6 million in advertising, George W. Bush has dropped two points behind John Kerry. Combined, The Media Fund, Kerry, MoveOn, and the AFL-CIO have spent some $5.2 million less than Bush in Florida media.

In Wisconsin, despite having outspent Kerry, The Media Fund, the AFL-CIO, and Move-on combined by $266,000, Bush is trailing Kerry by nine points.

1. Theft!

If Bush wins Florida, it will be by theft. I live here and I know several life long Republicans that voted for Bush in 2000 that are cringing at what he has done to the country. That and the fact that he actually lost Florida by thousands of votes in 2000 would make one realize that the ONLY way he could win Florida is by rigged voting machines and erroneous felony lists. I've heard that Jeb Bush and his new Supervisor of Elections Glenda Hood are busy doing that as we speak. Also, they have spread this technique to other states as well. I think it is called HAVA. Not sure. If your name is John H. Smith and there is a felon anywhere with the name John Smith, they will try and throw you onto the Felon's list. You won't know a dang thing about it until you go to vote.

I hear they are supposed to let everyone make a "provisional" vote if they are not on their precincts voting registry. They will then be checked out to see if they are actually able to vote. I hope this is true.

I'm going to absentee ballot in my county. Don't want to go near a touch screen voting machine. Then again, they have been known to find boxes of uncounted absentee ballots weeks after an election.

God, I love a Democracy.

2. That's why you need to have people check in Florida.

Check yourself, and go and have your friends and family there check to see if you're still on the voter rolls. Start early and do it often enough that you have enough time to make sure you can fix it in time. And pass it on. We need everyone who is supposed to be able to vote truly registered.

4. I live in Northern Florida

And the last mayoral election here has a roughly 63 percent vote for the republican and 37 percent for the democrat(as usual, we had severla democrats competing for the seat, while the republicans who did not win the primary did not run, so the dem vote was divided)

Kerry was here last week, and I was surprised at the showing of about 3,000 people. WHich is just about what Bush draws.

With the election 5 1/2 months away and no vp picked. We lead in Ohio, we lead in Florida. Now if we can only creep ahead in Pennsylvania.
