It sounds elitist.

2. Bush went there, too.
Nothing to brag about.

"I like to have a clear outlook," he told the author in one of two interviews. "It can be a frustrating experience to pay attention to somebody's false opinion or somebody's characterization, which simply isn't true."

4. He used it beautifully: to show how he feels obligated to society
whereas, by implication, Junior doesn't give a fuck about anyone else.

This is a powerful card for Kerry to play, and I hope he does it judiciously but pointedly. Yeah, he may have voted many times to raise taxes but he voted to raise HIS OWN taxes, while the Connecticut Cowboy only cares about freeloading on the backs of the poor.

Let's have a little old fashioned Class Warfare.

6. that sounds elitist to me
<"Did Kerry have to stress he attended Yale in his latest ad?"

It sounds elitist.>

the above sounds elitist to me. and anyways the point was he had these opportunities yet still joined the military at a time when many people with opportunities like himself avoided it(gwbush) and let others do the fighting.

kerry doesn't try to be something he isn't. he has a history of supporting policies to help all people unlike bush who tries to act like some regular person yet rips off most.

7. You miss the message. Bush attended elitist Yale also. But..
unlike Bush who was ALSO a child of priviledge, Kerry has spent his lifetime serving his country. That's the message.

9. If he doesn't say it, the Repubs will, and....
they'll make it sound like it's not a good thing (even tho Bush went there, also).

I think it points out that he's well educated. Don't know about you, but I feel more comfortable with a leader who is educated AND intelligent. World matters are complicated. Takes some brains, IMO.

I don't want just any ol' shmo in the White House.
