Take a Moment of Peace to Remember why You think this Election is Worth Fighting For...
I think we can get so caught up in the battle that we forget what we're fighting for. This primary season is getting so heated that I would love it if everyone here would take a moment every time you feel yourself tensing up at someone's thread or response to your post and remember why it is you feel this election is worth fighting for. Why do you think it's so important that we work to put a Democrat in the White House this November?

When you start your moment of peace, close your eyes and slowly breathe in and out. Don't listen to the noise around you, tune out co-workers, kids, all background noise. During my moment of peace I will think of a soldier. He is 82nd Airborne, he's standing in front of his quarters on base at Ft. Bragg, NC. His 2 children have just taken down the yellow ribbon and bow that's hung around their tree for so long. It's the last ribbon on their street. He is holding his wife's hand so tightly he can't feel where his skin stops and hers begins. He thinks back to the people he met in Iraq and the chance they will now have to repair their country. There's a Democrat in the White House, someone who thinks about people and the consequences of his or her choices. Our soldier and his country can begin to heal.

Finish your moment with more deep breathing, please carry this peace with you as you work toward putting a Democrat in the White House.

We need to return to the issues - where in fact, we hold an advantage over Mccain. Which is true whichever Democrat you speak of. The Republicans win when the issues discussed are these flame wars - we win when the the conversation is foreign policy, the war, the economy etc.

It is sad that your post (not you) was ignored.

5. If we let McCain in, we lose on:
1. War
2. Economy
3. Healthcare
4. Global Warming
5. Etc.

And it'll get worse. Much worse.

Pledge to support the Democratic candidate, whoeever he or she is.
