I am on the "list", not the top 10, the other one. That's o.k. People should be able to say what they want, after all, this is America. I am a pretty normal, everyday person, "typical," if you will. I live in a small log home in northern Wisconsin. I am married, have one son, and a future daughter-in-law who I love. I know many here can't stand me, but believe it or not, the feeling is not mutual. I have not made it a secret who I support, and I make no apologies. In fact, I am proud to be a supporter of Hillary Clinton. I have always been a supporter of Wesley Clark, and I hope he gets a chance to further serve this country in a way that is fitting for someone of his stature and experience. However, his endorsement of Hillary Clinton did not make me run to support her. This process took months. I didn't "agonize" over this choice, and it came down to experience for me. I feel strongly that a Democrat will be inaugurated in January 2009, even now. It is my hope that it is Hillary is the one.
I sincerely hope healing comes to DU soon, but I am a peon here, so there's not much I can do.
Maybe someone else has what it takes. To those whose "lists" I am on, please know I regret it if have offended anyone. I can be a hot head, as you well know, and occasionally post & click a little too quickly. I do try though. For example, I used to refer to Obama supporters as "followers," and I did it deliberately. There was an Obama supporter (whose "list" I'm probably on) who posted a response that made me feel bad and sad. It was not rude or anything "like that," but more thought provoking. Also, I think it was Forkboy who made a classy post where he apologized to another DUer (I forgot who it was, sorry). I actually got a little "misty" over that. Why? I don't know, maybe it was just such a relief to see a post like that here. Anyway, I am planning to take a break. Maybe it'll be good for me. I'm sure it'll be nice for some of you. I'll do some work for HIllary, help out with wedding plans (for my son & fiancee), etc. I won't respond to this post, not as a protest, but as a show of support of free speech and thought. If it sinks, it sinks. Besides that, I'm a bit of a wimp.
Here are some pics I think you ALL might like, just to go on a positive note:)
