O.K., Here It Goes:
I am on the "list", not the top 10, the other one. That's o.k. People should be able to say what they want, after all, this is America. I am a pretty normal, everyday person, "typical," if you will. I live in a small log home in northern Wisconsin. I am married, have one son, and a future daughter-in-law who I love. I know many here can't stand me, but believe it or not, the feeling is not mutual. I have not made it a secret who I support, and I make no apologies. In fact, I am proud to be a supporter of Hillary Clinton. I have always been a supporter of Wesley Clark, and I hope he gets a chance to further serve this country in a way that is fitting for someone of his stature and experience. However, his endorsement of Hillary Clinton did not make me run to support her. This process took months. I didn't "agonize" over this choice, and it came down to experience for me. I feel strongly that a Democrat will be inaugurated in January 2009, even now. It is my hope that it is Hillary is the one.
I sincerely hope healing comes to DU soon, but I am a peon here, so there's not much I can do.
Maybe someone else has what it takes. To those whose "lists" I am on, please know I regret it if have offended anyone. I can be a hot head, as you well know, and occasionally post & click a little too quickly. I do try though. For example, I used to refer to Obama supporters as "followers," and I did it deliberately. There was an Obama supporter (whose "list" I'm probably on) who posted a response that made me feel bad and sad. It was not rude or anything "like that," but more thought provoking. Also, I think it was Forkboy who made a classy post where he apologized to another DUer (I forgot who it was, sorry). I actually got a little "misty" over that. Why? I don't know, maybe it was just such a relief to see a post like that here. Anyway, I am planning to take a break. Maybe it'll be good for me. I'm sure it'll be nice for some of you. I'll do some work for HIllary, help out with wedding plans (for my son & fiancee), etc. I won't respond to this post, not as a protest, but as a show of support of free speech and thought. If it sinks, it sinks. Besides that, I'm a bit of a wimp.

Here are some pics I think you ALL might like, just to go on a positive note:)

This one's "famous" on the Wisconsin Forum (After Doyle won re-election & Kagen took Green's spot against

1. I guess we all need to remember that we're all human.
I think what happened today just demonstrates how exhausted and frayed we all are. Thanks for posting this. I'm an Obama supporter who truly wishes you well and hope to join you in celebration when a DEM wins the WH in November.

6. Kind of OT, but

while looking for a pic of Biden for the "post a pic of your candidate" thread, I came across this really nice one of Hillary and Edwards. Since you have a pic of JE in your post, I'm assuming you're a fan of his, too. So here it is -- isn't it nice?

EDIT to add that now that I see it again, it's not as flattering of Hillary as I thought, but she looks great, and it looks like they're having a good laugh.

7. Thanks for using your voice.
Our conversation is made of voices, raised in anger, indignation, hope, and determination.

Everyone's voice should matter. Even when other voices are raised, sometimes in a broad chorus, to drown your own out. Especially then.

I am taking a break, but I still read here, and I've never had anything like this happen here.
Has someone broken into my account? I don't know. I'm not as computer literate as many of you here,
so this makes no sense to me. I do plan to take a break, but it's jsut that I don't know how this happened.
Thank you all, and sorry to a pest.

Dinger

Edited to add that the 2nd post doesn't even come up on "My DU".

10. Yes They Do, But
I did not post this thread. It does not even come up on "My DU," but the other thread with a few more replies & recs does. Also, both are posted at the same time. I want to take a break from here in peace, but I confess right here, that this is more than a little creepy.
I have e-mailed the mods/admins. Guess I'll see what happens. Any body else here ever have this happen?

Leaving is creepy

You should try to understand

LOOK at this list... go back some days... review the threads in archive

just LOOK at all the sleazey, lurid, inaccurate threads parroting mainstream media scandalmongering and internet rumors?

Look who they are directed against.

Man... you need to come over.

In the General Election polls for many months on end, Obama was way ahead of McCain and Clinton was way behind

Now, thanks to Clinton going ballistically negative... OUR CHANCES OF WINNING IN NOVEMBER HAVE BEEN GRIEVOUSLY DIMINISHED

THIS IS BECAUSE THE GOP WANTS TO RUN AGAINST THE LEAST ELECTABLE CANDIDATE
KARL ROVE READS POLLS

I don't have anyone on ignore... don't know about lists

I'm new here but I can tell you... I thought when I first came in

THIS PLACE IS INFESTED WITH REPUBLICAN OPERATIVES

It's only after having been here a while I realize
These are SUPPOSEDLY DEMOCRATS writing this filth

come back... let it sink

23. Her photobucket account isn't password protected.
Anyone can get in and lift any of her photos.

Obviously, that's what happened.

People are playing really dirty now. :grr:

27. No I'm not.
I'm quite right about her photobucket account. I would strongly advise any DUer who has an open photobucket account to go NOW and password-protect it so that nosey people can't snoop, and to keep people from lifting their photos.

16. Thank You. I Know I'm Not Imagining This
If people really want me to go for good, I will. Don't want to, but this is strange and scary. I sent a personal check recently for a donation, hopefully that wasn't a mistake. (I usually send in snail mail because I don't want my personal info online).
Hey, I DON'T want to make trouble. What would you do. My heart is thumping in my chest (not kidding).

If it had been a completely different post than your original, that would be scary. But from what I see, this post was made 1 minute before the one that got replies. I'm betting that maybe it's a glitch or maybe you doulbe clicked or some other goofiness. I wouldn't freak.

21. Dinger, first of all....
you need to password-protect your photobucket account, because anyone can get there simply by right-clicking any photo you post. So go to photobucket and password-protect your account there NOW so people can't snoop into your personal photos.

I didn't think that the OP sounded like you. That's why I didn't reply to it. Something odd is afoot at DU.
