Let's try to be objective, is it really smart for Carville to be screaming Judas all day long?

He went on Cuppa Joe this morning, Wolfie and MSNBC again this afternoon. Richardson gets Larry King Live tonight to play grown-up to Jim's petulant child. Not only that, he gets to tell a global audience why he thinks Obama is a once in a lifetime leader. Thanks, Jim!

Even Howard Wolfson thinks Carville's remark was over the top:

==...after three attempts by AOL reporter Tommy Christopher, Wolfson said that James Carville should speak for himself about whether he regrets comparing Bill Richardson to Judas, but, added, "If I had said it, I would apologize."==

Not reigning Carville in today is a fumble by Team Clinton, IMHO.

1. I don't see how it could possibly be construed as being helpful or smart.
It seems like this is only the most recent in a long string of fumbles.

2. Richardson is no big deal
Carville should be talking about John Murtha's endorsement of Hillary. Now that's a meaningful endorsement.

5. That's a good point, win win situation
while staying positive. The Murtha edorsement didn't get a lot of coverage and it would be a good opportunity to take advantage of it.

9. Better let Carville know
Judas was somewhat big player in that plot, know what I mean? If Richardson was of no big consequence, why compare him to a Judas?

14. Richardson is certainly one of the 15 most influential people in the Democratic Party
Murtha is important as well.

4. Team Hillary is in desperation mode.
The filthy "kitchen sink" smear campaign is exposing their utter rottenness.

10. Laws yessss
Richardson should have been eternally grateful to the Clinton's, for allowing him to serve the Clinton administration. And Bill gracing the Richardson home with his presence during the Super Bowl, what an dastardly act of betrayal!
