41. In a different thread earlier today, someone suggested that
he was trying make himself less "attractive" (not in the usual sense but in the literal sense)so that it would be Richardson's moment and he would not detract anyone's attention from Richardson and Richardson's excellent speech. It sounds like a good reason to me, so I'm embracing it. Heaven forbid he acted like say . . . GWB with McSame the other day.

5. Richardson up!
Says he waited because he was legitimately torn. He had a lot of loyalty to the Clintons.

Party unity, campaign getting nasty and personal... he felt he needed to step in and back him.

Saw hope and enthusiasm in the faces of those in attendance in Portland, Oregon.

7. Now that Texas is over, Richardson doesn't make a difference.
They only needed him to win over latinos.

So sayeth Mark Penn.

Richardson is sick of the sniping that's taking place every day.

When it appears that we are downgrading each other, attacking each other, then it's time for individuals like myself in the arena to say, all right, the time has come to stop this.

Calls superdelegates "FAT CATS LIKE ME" who shouldn't be deciding this election.

is the better one, just because he once worked for the other candidate's *husband?* Are you saying Richardson needs to pay Bill Clinton back by endorsing his wife?

Bill Richardson made Bill Richardson, genius. He was a popular Rep before Bill tapped him for his cabinet or Ambassador to the U.N. and paid Bill back by loyal service. He owes him nothing. Your post is a steaming pile of stupidity. Shove it.

33. THAT'S CALLED CRONYISM. THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG WITH AMERICA!
So if Bill Richardson thinks Barack is the better candidate, he is supposed to go against what he truly believes and endorse Hillary because her hubby gave him a job back in the day?

THAT THINKING IS THE PROBLEM WITH OUR COUNTRY. IT'S CALLED CRONYISM.

That thinking is how we ended up with Chimpy in office. That's how the administration is filled with his know-nothing waste-of-space yes-men frat-boy friends. How's that working out for you?

You disgust me. Everytime someone, respected by both sides, courted by both sides, comes out in support of Obama you guys SLIME them. Only people in compliance with the queen's wishes are deemed worthy, good people, or significant. Don't you realize how despicable that is?

34. Isn't that the problem with the Clinton campaign? "Bill" has a history and friends and is owed
paybacks for various things over the years and "Hillary" is supposed to rake in those favors?

This is exactly the type of politics people are sick of.

44. And as Bill said today, he repaid the favor by the work that he did for the Clintons
and the country. Calling a beloved governor and widely respected Democrat a "traitor" sounds like you think he's the Clintons' SUBJECT instead of an associate and friend. Oh, and by the way, blind loyalty at all costs is something characteristic of Bush cronies, not thinking Democrats.

When You write your own speech as magnificent as Obamas the other day, and hold yourself upright and relaxed under the kind of pressure he's been under, you can call him an unqualified stooge. Untl then, why don't you go visit freeper public and leave us alone.

45. Let's talk experience...
Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term - 6 yrs. - and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law (20) twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years.

These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress but to save you trouble, I'll post them here for you.

1.Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.
2.Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.
3.Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
4.Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.
5.Name courthouse after James L. Watson.
6.Name post office after John A. O'Shea.
7.Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
8.Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
9.Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.
10.Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
11.Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
12.Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program.
13.Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.
14.Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express
condolences on her death.
15.Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty. Only five of Clinton's bills are, more substantive.
16.Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11.
17.Pay for city projects in response to 9/11
18.Assist landmine victims in other countries.
19.Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care.
20.Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as
protected in the wilderness preservation system.
There you have it, the fact's straight from the Senate Record.
Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too substantive, so I'll mainly categorize.
21.During the first (8) eight years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills.
22.He introduced 233 regarding healthcare reform, 125 on poverty and public assistance, 112 crime fighting bills, 97 economic bills, 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills, 21 ethics reform bills, 15 gun control, 6 veterans affairs and many others.
23.His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included the
*Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 - became law,
*The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, - became law,
*The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, - passed the Senate,
*The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, - became law,
*The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, In committee, and many more.
In all, since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096. An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no record according to some who would prefer that this comparison not be made public.
He's not just a talker -- He's a doer.
