Edited on Fri Mar-21-08 02:30 PM by TeamJordan23
Or something to that extent is what Bill said today on the campaign trail.

Basically, it seems to imply that McCain and Clinton have loved this country while implying that Obama is not patriotic.

55. He no longer has a meaningful legacy
There has been no need for him to have made any of the many bad comments he is making. I think he is excited at the idea of having another term in office for himself, because none of this is helping his wife.

If he were my dh, these comments wouldn't be happening. You can fire your own husband from campaigning, and I'd have done it by now. But I would have also divoreced a guy like this earlier, instead of hanging onto to him for whatever use he could be to me in my future campaigning. Looks like that isn't likely working out the way Ms. Clinton had envisioned.

"Without all of this other stuff" that's getting in the way of our politics.

It seems to me he's saying that about Obama's speech on race, which is pretty sad. That is the best speech I think I have ever heard a politician give in my lifetime, with a nuanced and intelligent take on the state of race in our nation today, and it really touched me with its honesty. I do think it's kind of sad for Clinton to reduce it to "all of this other stuff."

30. Chuck Todd: Bill Clinton's statements today very troubling
Source: MSNBC

Bill Clinton has made remarks that seem to undermine Senator Obama's patriotism.

The remarks which include a statement to the effect that a "Clinton-McCain raise would be between two people who love the country without all of this other stuff" (paraphrase)

Todd was asked when he stopped by MSNBC and they were reading the excerpt to him.

He said that the full text was not good and a 'terrible read'. He could not figure out what Clinton was saying that would be good for his wife's campaign.

Should be big news in one hour

Good riddance, Bill Clinton. Your conduct has gone from disappointing, to hurtful, to downright disgusting and unforgivable.

I can't believe I once admired and respected you.

You are a liar and a fraud. You are dead to me now.

And you can forget about me voting for you or your f*cking wife.

I'd welcome a McCain presidency, because if what you and your wife say is true, then McCain has the experience, love of country, and one thing that you don't have--the integrity---to lead this nation. So, at least according to you, it won't be so bad.
