He was MIA when he was attacked by the right wing in 2004 (i.e, the Swiftboat Vets).
I dismiss anything he says. He left us hanging.

and throughout the world. He feels Senator Obama offers us the best chance to change the discourse in Washington. Heaven only knows, I couldn't stomach another four or eight years of the Republican's attacking the Clinton's and reporting on their every move.

Edited on Fri Mar-21-08 12:19 AM by Catherina
between funding a war where troops were sent with no equipment, no armor to keep them safe, and starting a damn war.

I wish he'd voted against it but by no stretch of the imagination can you equate the two.

Add to that clusterbombs, enabling a future war against Iran, promising you won't talk to any of Israel's enemies, and being the largest reciprient of donation from the MIC and her coffin is nailed shut.

You Hillary supporters are cute but lack of moral consistency gets you in trouble everytime. Sorry.

20. Not at all
I am saying that we need to be realistic about the world and that at this point in time, it's impossible for an American white woman to heal the divisiveness of the Muslim world in the Mid-East.

It has nothing to do with "going to their level." It has to do with trying to make it easier to deal with them rather than harder.

39. Not only in the middle-east either!
Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 11:45 PM by discerning christian
I had the privilege of living across the street a few years ago, from a lovely Muslim/American family. We spoke , we waved to each other when we met, and talked about gardening etc. Once I made the mistake of reaching out my hand to shake the husbands because of a kindness he had shown my family, and he withdrew his hand as quickly as possible. He said "I greet you with my heart" as he put his hand in his chest. Their culture does not allow them to touch a non-muslim woman. So there are advantages to being Barack Obama, and not Hillary Clinton in Muslim relationships.

21. I see nothing wrong with Senator Kerry's comments. You are distorting them
and taking them out of context. Of course I bet you really don't care about that do you? Posting something dishonest like this in order to promote Clinton is really low.

And, frankly, I really can't envision Hillary understanding and bridging the gap to bring people to the table to talk- not as divisive as she is. Her whole personality is grating.

23. If Geraldine Ferraro had said them she'd be labeled racist. White liberals in america are so
race obsessed even though I am sure that the white Obama heads who scream racism live in Lily white areas and would never dream of living in a multi-cultural area.
Well, stop screaming racism and maybe if you looked at the sexism and the violence against women in our culture you would see that sexism crosses racial boundaries.

I am horrified at the lack of intellectual thought by supposed liberals on DU.

Maybe the question touches on qualifications and talent, as opposed to race or gender, in which case Kerry's endorsement of the very gifted Barack Obama makes perfect sense over the other choice.
