One thing I've learned about this whole Wright thing....
is that many Obama supporters don't take bad news very well.

Jeez, toughen up. If you need some advice on how to deal with the media giving your guy a hard time, just ask us Hillary supporters for advice.

:)

Just like the black TV shows. Reverse discrimination. I don't want a Pres who supports it.

Please provide a link to a sentence where he says it is OK.

If you cannot, please evaluate your thinking and comprehension.

31. That's a big stretch
I wouldn't call Rev. Wright a racist, let alone Obama, even though I would call Wright misogynist and hateful for his put downs of Halloway and Hillary, and a lunatic for his conspiracy theories about AIDs, but I'm sure BO doesn't share these views. I agree with many of Wright's other statements, but as a whole, he certainly wouldn't have been my mentor.

in a desperate attempt to bring down Barack Obama... Such as this thread that was obviously posted with deception in mind...

10. You forget: It shows the News Media is failing at their job, just like the government
The news organizations are called the "Fourth Estate" for a reason, and they have a civic obligation to find and report the truth. They are wholly failing at this, as they have been for a long time. They failed leading up to the Iraq war, they failed in 2004, and they've failed elsewhere repeatedly. We should not accept their failures, but instead denounce them.

Unfortunately, you can't fix the new media by electing new people into office.

12. Don't take bad news?
How about don't like distortions and lies, don't like winning at all costs and don't like the race baiting and hate that comes from the Clinton side and from Clinton herself.

I'm disappointed in so many that post here for their bigotry and racism, for their support of the divides they are making.

When asked, Clinton ignored the Wright portion of the question and said “well my campaign has been making the case that I am the most electable that I have said that for a year or more that I am the person best able to make the challenges that our country faces as commander in chief.”

When Clinton was then asked specifically if her campaign was pushing the Wright story –- she shrugged and took the next question, ignoring the reporter.

Win at all costs and damn the truth and damn the issues.

The bad news is that Obama has been kicking Hillary's ass until this shit she pulled, the race card, the division, the hate.

The bad news is that if any other dem candidate had the lead like Obama has, the rest of the party would have demanded that the number 2 person drop out - that would be Hillary.

Hey, instead of playing these pathetic games, go do some research, go research Hillary and David Coe and the Fellowship. Go research Hillary and the Rev. Moon, then think about what you are supporting at the cost to the party and to the nation.

32. What makes you say that they would have forced anybody else out of the race
1. Haven't you noticed during the past 7 years that there is no Democratic leadership? Just look at our miserable congress, just think about the way they've rolled over since 2000.
2. The same thing happened when Ted Kennedy was running against Carter. Kennedy bloodied up Carter so badly, and he refused to give up until the end. Here's a bit of an article about it:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/01/30/opinion/pollpositions/main3769985.shtml

< In 1980, Ted Kennedy challenged President Jimmy Carter for the nomination. Their battle continued until the Democratic convention -- one of the longest nominating battles in recent years. Nationally, Carter consistently led Kennedy by about two to one. But those feelings were strongly held. In the New York primary that year, fewer than half the supporters of Kennedy and Carter said the other was acceptable as the party’s nominee in November. In a March national poll, when Carter led Kennedy by nearly two to one, half of all Democrats had unfavorable views of Kennedy, and a third had unfavorable views of Carter.[br />
The Hart-Mondale contest divided Democratic voters by age and by commitment to the party, much like the Clinton-Obama divide today. Younger voters, better educated voters, and voters who thought of themselves as independents were more likely to support Hart (as they do Obama this year), while older voters, less educated white voters and those who identify as Democrats were more likely to support Mondale (and now Clinton).

The Kennedy-Carter fight continued to the Democratic convention, and became ever more rancorous. While Carter clearly had enough committed delegates to win the nomination, the Kennedy forces campaigned to overturn the party’s rules, and let committed delegates change their minds (hopefully in Kennedy’s direction). They were unsuccessful. ]

Bottom line - no evil, just incompetence. They should have forced a joint ticket weeks ago when it could have done some good.

35. I agree with the incompetence
I can't shake the evil -- this is harmful to our party and our nation - this is not the time to let ego override what is most needed and that is change of course, change of direction.

There are so many post whining about sexism whenever someone criticizes Hillary.

This type of blindness is what's wrong with this party.

19. Has the MSM played and replayed Hillary making a crack
about the gas station owner down the street?

You remember, don't you? She called him "Ghandi", thinking she was being cute, I guess. It was at a fund-raiser where she was speaking.

Did we see that one played every half hour on all the cable news stations for a solid week?

Is it still being played?

Has anyone brought it up in this campaign?

Or is it OK for Hillary to say something awful herself, but not okay for Obama's pastor to say something a lot of people think is awful?

27. One thing I learned is how longtime DUers will foresake core democratic principles if it
helps their candidate. The attempts to "blacken" Obama by tying him to Wright are straight from Lee Atwater's playbook. DUers that I know in the past have railed against racism and racially divisive politics now have obvious glee in attacking Obama through Wright.

When you see it, it is sad. It makes me lose all respect for those people.
