I have been guilty with this as well and am now making the pledge to not attack other posters on this board based on who they support.
I resolve to not call anyone else here a name, a pejorative or insult them based on who they support.
I support Senator Obama. I respect all people on this board who support Senator Clinton. I have now pledged that if Senator Clinton becomes the candidate, I will support her even though I have attacked her positions in the past.
I am willing to fall out of love and get in line. How about you?
I believe if we stop with the name-calling and only speak politely to each other, the people who are trying to start flame wars will eventually get bored with all the politeness and go away.
McCain is the issue, not the two Democratic candidates, either of whom will represent our party with courage, intelligence, wit and grace come November.
If we continue to fight among ourselves, then Bush and Cheney will win a third term in November.
I love my country beyond any candidate to allow that.
I have been mostly lurking here since January 2001 seeking solace among fellow Democrats after feeling betrayed by the Bush Regime's takeover of our country and the MSM's support of it. I never felt so low then when listening to NPR during the first Gulf War protests and Cokie Roberts was asked by Bob Edwards whether there were dissenting views among the public. Her reply: “None that matter.”
I include myself among the "None that matter."
We must never lose sight over who is the real Enemy of the State.
Stop McCain. No third term for Bush/Cheney.
