Rev. Wright = Dean Scream by November
and I don't think it's fair either.

But it is nonetheless true.

This is a stake in the heart of the Obama camp, and they know it on the inside. I got this from an African American friend of mine, and two others who work for the Obama campaign.

4. They will paint every racist thing that guy said into Obama's mouth
and I was originally for Edwards, moved to Hillary when he dropped out, but find myself sticking up for him more and more.

Fact: the way some democrats have treated Hillary Clinton on THESE VERY BOARDS is unconscionable. But the way others are substituting this asshole for Obama is almost as bad.

67. There is another Democratic candidate in this race.
Why do you make this out to be Obama v. McCain and that's it. We're nowhere close to the Convention yet and look at the way things have changed in one week. Seriously, this story could have broken in October when there was only one Democrat in the race. Then it would be an automatic McCain win. Clinton is rising in the polls, there is a viable Democratic candidate in Hillary and Obama (if he can straighten this out).

How about we get some support for what is clearly a swift boating attempt to turn him into "the angry black man" by proxy. Is it really more important to just get that oval office that Hillary supporters will join the idiots in painting an ugly picture of him? Is there not a greater picture of principle that should be examined so that this doesn't happen over and over?

Please tell me what I should do if the mighty powers that be decide Obama should be told to sit back down. When I am at work this summer and folks are discussing whatever attack the right has cooked up should I defend her or just sit there and nod my head in polite agreement over their decision to vote for McCain.

23. If Democrats would rally around Obama rather than hiding in a corner,
it might not be a "Dean scream" moment. Sadly, rather than embrace an opportunity head on, Democrats in power tuck tail and scurry back to their rat holes until it blows over. Somewhere there's a room where Democrats check their spines and hide their balls.

(except for the few that will take their ball and go home if their nominee doesn't get in - Sen Obama has such supporters as well).

All the dems voted for Gore and for Kerry also. The problem is the independents/swing voters. So even if we do rally around our candidate, it's not enough to win an election.

Seperated by the disclaimer - "and I don't think it's fair either."

"This is a stake in the heart of the Obama camp" - Conclusion to the Straw Man based on the invented fact, a fictional event to take place in the future - "Rev. Wright = Dean Scream by November."

"and they know it on the inside." - Prove it.

"I got this from an African American friend of mine" - Appeal to Authority fallacy.

"and two others who work for the Obama campaign." - I do not believe this.

It was clear by the way Obama was scrambling around doing interviews a week ago how very serious it was. I agree it's a few or more nails in the coffin. Did they say they thought they'll make it to November? The way his poll numbers are dropping....
