I think most folks want the same thing; respect, opportunity, and hope for the future...

1. Since we see parents beating up other parents |
|
over perceived slights to their childs elementary baseball career or high school cheerleading career....its not clear to me the the issue or solution is 'color blindness'.
Basic respect would go a long way. Developing appreciate for 'we' instead of us/them. Maybe we need drugs to eliminate the god awful competitiveness that permeates our society.
What difference does it really make, if one sports team or high school team wins or loses.

2. Being a child in the 60's |

and growing up in the 70's, a twenty-something adult in the 80's -- yes, I thought a color blind society was possible. After this week, no. Just my opinion.

3. Yes, it is possible. It is as Obama said: |
|
The perfection of a nation and an idea takes time through evolution to perfection. Perfection just does not happen overnight but we must continue to work for it and at it and not give up hope. Which is why Obama's theme of hope is so important at this time in our nations history.
