Bush approval rating at all time low
President Bush (news - web sites)'s approval rating is at an all-time low and fewer than half of Americans now believe invading Iraq (news - web sites) was the right thing to do, according to a CBS/New York Times poll released on Wednesday.

The poll found that if the presidential election due in November was held today, 46 percent of Americans would vote for Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) and 44 percent would vote for Bush -- if independent Ralph Nader (news - web sites) stayed out of the race.

1. Why do these rating and polls

...fluctuate so much?? Bush seemed to have been "up" last I heard. I think it's maybe better to look at overall trends. See where he started out last November, and he's gone no where but down.

4. Maybe because those polls were taken
Before he ran a negative smear campaign against a decorated vet and ended up getting his ass handed to him by Kerry, Wesley Clark and that brave Senator that called them out as the Chickenhawks they really are?

Maybe?

2. Bush's #'s are horrible for an incumbent
I hope such a low start doesn't decrease the intensity at which people fight to get J.K. in office. I won't be satisfied until Nov. 2004 election night.
