Where was FOX & Wallace on the McCain/Hagee endorsement?

By: John Amato @ 12:02 PM - PDT

Chris Wallace was outraged today over Obama’s pastor remarks and I think it’s very fair to raise the issue.

I did a Google search on Chris Wallace/John Hagee to see if he ever mentioned his name on Fox News Sunday and guess what? I didn’t find a mention anywhere of this controversial—anti-Catholic—McCain endorsement. In fact, I found only one post on the FOX News website which was a video of McCain saying that he didn’t have to agree with everything someone says who supports him. We know there was only a brief spot on CNN and MSNBC pretty much stayed away from it completely outside of KO. (Tweety was silent)

So, only as a media question: Why no mention of McCain and the barrage on Obama? Shouldn’t they both be held to the same standard of coverage? How would Hillary have been covered by Chris Wallace if a similar story hit the news?

5. Are you waving a flyer in my face?
Fixed Noize is playing the Wright tape day and night, helping Hillary "bloody" Obama
up for McSame -- they have a common "enemy" at this point.

6. But...but...but...he goes "OW!" when you poke him!

When it comes to serious journalism, Wallace is the perennial "Oates" of "Hall & Oates," and yes...yes, I WILL dump on him, whenever and wherever I can.

7. John Hagee is much more dangerous, IMO
It sickens me the way some congress critters kiss up to this freak. He won't be happy until we're all blown to bits...all of us but that last 144,000 or whatever. His world view is truly delusional.

8. I will be honest, I haven't followed ANY of the "Obama pastor" stories...
...because I just have too many bombs dropping all around me in my own life right now.

BUT...I know all about Hagee, and he is undoubtedly a crazy, dangerous, clueless bastard.

So for whatever that is worth, you MAY be RIGHT.

who says some things we may not all agree with, he doesn't have the same political clout as someone like Hagee, who is always being actively courted by many of the right-leaning congresspeople (including McCain and Joe Lieberman), and leads those crazy CUFI (Christians United for Israel) folks. Did you happen to see Bill Moyers' excellent report on Hagee? It was a real eye-opener.

12. I no longer have cable TV, but I know who Hagee is and "what" he is...
...he's ten miles of bad road.

And one of the biggest challenges I have in life is convincing people that the word "Christian" doesn't denote some kind of country club in which a circus tent full of crazy bastards sit around in total agreement.

It's a word that pretty much is meaningless...if you say you believe in Christ, you are a Christian. You just need to say it to fit the definition. You don't have to mean it, you don;t have to demonstrate your faith, you just have to say it and you get handed your membership card and secret handshake.

I'm a Christian, and Hagee is a crazy son of a bitch who doesn't represent my beliefs in any way, shape, or form.

15. I like to say I'm a Jesusonian.
I think Jesus was right on target. However, what he taught has been so perverted by some of his followers that I have to agree with you that the term "Christian" has become meaningless.

17. Thank you for your post.
I've watched Hagee on television, him damn near orgasmic in giddiness, talking of how we need to initiate war with Iran.

Hagee's NOT a Christian in any benevolent sense; but he is a dangerous lunatic. And he's taking it all to the bank.
