Obama addressed Miami group July 22, 1:30 pm
Edited on Mon Mar-17-08 08:26 AM by dancingme
The Los Angeles Times blog reports the Obama campaign's denial that Obama attended the July 22 service; it states that Obama was in Miami that day. (Davis's story was originally posted in August 2007; the Obama campaign apparently did not take notice of it until yesterday.) In fact, according to a Washington Post listing, Obama was scheduled to address the national council of La Raza's annual conference on July 22, 2007. The time of Obama's scheduled appearance is listed as "n/a." Mickey Kaus has posted a La Raza press release listing Obama's scheduled appearance at 1:30 p.m. There is also video of Obama's appearance. As Kaus says, the ball is in Kessler's court.

How could Obama be in a black church service (which usually last for many hours) in Chicago on July 22 and still fly to Miami and make a campaign appearance by 1:30 pm? I don't think so.

1. He obviously had to get his fill of hate for the day to get pumped up for the La Raza speech.

3. I don't belive it....
Obama clearly had a body double at the campaign event so he could go to church and hear hatefull things. He was in church for a fact because Taylor Marsh said so. :sarcasm:

NewsMax ran an inaccurate story! I, for one, find that hard to fathom.

19. Hey, a paid shill/blogger's gotta do what paid shill/bloggers do!
They sit there posting their scripted one-liner insults. I've never used the ignore function before, but it's worth its weight in gold, isn't it?

When HRC loses, I don't doubt she'll sell her campaign's list of paid bloggers to McCain - or maybe she'll GIVE him the list since she thinks he'd make a better president than anyone but her.

1) NewsMax is lying.

2) NewsMax is full of shit.

22. Actually he did not
The Tampa impromptu news conference after a fundraiser, was in September, so was not even close to the date of the Florida vote. It was a day after he signed the pledge not to campaign in Florida or Michigan, obviously this event was scheduled before the pledge, and the brief interview by the local news was not scheduled, the Florida press came to his fundraiser, probably to get his views on the recently signed pledge.

20. I heard he was in church....
on September 26, 1988 when the Preacher said 'white man'. This should immediately disqualify him from holding any position inside our government. In the future any black man that was in within earshot of anyone making any reference to slavery, voting rights, or Black History should be denied representation of 'the people' of our country.
