Don't know if it's true or not....
but they just said on FAUX that they have proof Obama was at a service where Wright spoke making derogatory remarks. It was from a Newsmax guy so not sure if it is reliable. He said they will show it on Sunday or Monday. As a Clinton supporter I find no joy in this and hope it is not true.

ETA: And your statement is untrue. You found much joy in all this yesterday. Don't pretend you don't now.

4. Lovely.
Taking it with a grain of salt at this point, but I still don't even like the rumor of it already.

5. He said he didn't hear it.
Edited on Sat Mar-15-08 12:48 PM by kentuck
Are you saying if he was there, he had to hear it? Did you not see the earplugs he was wearing that day?
Also, my interpretation of what he said in the interviews was that he did not hear or see a "pattern" of what was shown on the videos and that preachers in black churches have been making incendiary remarks for 200 years. Did you not hear him say that? Or did you only hear FOX news interpretation of what he said?

any benign criticism of junior or their beloved war . . . .

15. I'm not sure if FOX said "derogatory" or that it was a word I used.
But the gist was the Wright remarks were similar to the ones we've seen on the videos.

9. I was wondering about one of the clips where it looks like Wright was pointing to Obama
in the crowd when he was speaking about him...
Guess we'll know soon enough. :(

10. of course - it is Fox
I saw this coming last night. The moment Hannity and other Republican strategists started spinning Obama's comments into "He never heard Wright say anything controversial" from what Obama really said which was that he never heard the comments being played on the air, I knew exactly where they were going with the story.

The Fox news watchers will be spoon fed this, and not care if it isn't really what Obama said. But, we weren't going to get most of the Fox News watchers to vote for us anyway.

Of course they will make shit up.

It is Fox.

supporter prefer to keep their heads down so you don't know what's going on.

26. Thanks
You are correct when you point out that it does us no good to not know what the other side is saying. If we don't know, how can we counteract it?

14. Well, smart remark person, I was watching FOX so that I'd have a chance to see Obama
at a rally in Indiana. FOX was the only channel that said they were waiting to hear him speak. Not that I need to explain what I do to a basher.

17. Some guy from Newsmax wrote an article last August saying he was in
attendance at a Trinity service in July and saw Obama "apparently" nod in agreement while Wright mentioned "white arrogance" and "United States of White America", and also condemned Bush's Iraq/oil war--so, that's the proof of Obama hearing "derogatory" remarks. I'm sure they'll dig up video, or doctor it somehow. Another DUer has a post up about Hannity interviewing Wright from last winter, when Obama was barely a blip on the national radar--sounds like they've been trying to set Obama up as a Black Anti-American Radical for some time now, even before most Americans even knew who he was. The Muslim thing has run its course, so it's on to Plan B of "Operation Ruin Obama"--the RW is really afraid of him.
