John McCain boggles the mind?

What is with this guy. He says great quotes like this. But why the hell are you going around endorsing Chimpy for?

1. McCain is an A hole

he should put up or Shut T F... up, I am sick and tired of him. Enough of even his name appearing on this board.

McCain's still a republican; he's just not as evil as BushCo.

3. he is NOT going to vote for bush

he is a republican and feels he has to campaign for bush. during a campaign appearance for bush in new hampshire, when asked why he was there and campaigning for bush, mccain's reply was something like "because they asked me to". even better was the tone of his reply which showed he didn't want to be there.

for now, we should not expect him to do much for us. but we can look to him as a republican to criticize bush at times, but don't depend on him for it.

4. Well him campaigning

is worst. Why campaign. This guy just tries to play both sides. Why would you endorse a guy you hate and don't agree with against your good friend? Boggles the mind. If you're a true Maverick, don't endorse anybody.

5. He's a politician, with just a touch of soul left

He knows what's wrong, but he's been in politics so long he's forgotten what to do when he knows something is wrong. He does what the Republicans want him to do to get their money and support, but when he has to address specific issues his real opinion slips through.

He's Republican, until he publicly and completely breaks with Bush, I consider him one of them.

After bush* slimed him in S. Carolina. He still thinks * deserves to be reelected.I know everyone has heard his joke about *. I slept better when I was imprisoned in Hanoi, knowing * was protecting the coast of Texas.

8. does he ever work?

just wondering.seems hes always on some talk show.praising bush....what a great man he is and how well he handles the war.he has good intentions and such.....he(to me) just wants to be heard and is hoping for a seat in the administration doesn't matter who wins he'll take it!!

7. Gee, what a courageous position!!

The "bridges to nowhere" are getting some press, and McCain's just exploiting something that's obvious. Complaining about bridges that go nowhere, and pork in general, is like being against crime.

As if there's a crowd of people who want more crime and more bridges to nowhere.

Character isn't demonstrated by taking the easy and obvious routes. If you want to judge McCain's character, just look at who he endorsed. Instead of doing the right thing, he decided to maintain relations with a man that called him insane and called his adopted Asian daughter "black" so that he wouldn't lose the financial support of the RNC.

That's who McCain is. For enough money, he'll forget about how they treated his military service and his daughter.

That is something that is hard for me to understand about McCain. I have some respect for him. But for God's sake, they did not only attack him or his military service or wanted people to believe he is mentally unstable. But they were also abusing the colour of his child (although adopted) for political reasons.
How can he accept it that his own party is using his child for a smear campaign like that, feeding the kind of racist feelings and prejudices that his daughter will have to face often enough.
That was just disgusting and I would have showed the party the middle finger. I wonder how his daughter or the whole family felt about that.
