is this true? I heard a recent poll gave him a very narrow lead. How is this possible?

7. and his coercive amnesty program. . .
that so insensed his sheeple had an impact. . .or more probably. . .the polls are rigged to lull us into quite and dutiful acceptance of what the BBV machines will prove unverifiably in November.

...Hispanics traditionally vote Republican. Also he has the Ace of pander/suckup cards to play. The whole immigration visitor worker thing he's been on about since before he was elected.

4. Hispanics do NOT traditionally vote Republican
except Florida Cubans. Just look at California.

5. What Hispanics are you talking about???
Hispanics do not vote as a bloc. Puerto Ricans usually vote Democrat--south Florida Cubans vote republican. Latinos from Dominican Republican, Mexico etc. are pretty evenly split.

8. what about California and South Texas?
Edited on Wed Apr-21-04 05:06 PM by ButterflyBlood
it's mostly Mexicans there, and they vote overwhelmingly Democratic. Also is there a significant Puerto Rican population in the mainland US anywhere outside of NYC and NJ? I did hear they were the most Democratic Hispanic bloc. However I do believe all are Democratic leaning except Florida Cubans.

9. Pretty evenly split?
Huh?

Recent Hispanic immigrants are overwhelmingly Democratic - and that's true whether they're from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, or Central or South America. Support for Republicans is strongest among Hispanics who have been in the United States for several generations. Remember that in Texas, for example, there are Hispanics who have lived there for four hundred years.

6. theres not a chance in hell
I saw a report somewhere that shows his support extremely low among Hispanic voters. Sounds like the proverbial smoke up the ass kind of journalism.

-- Kerry leads Bush among African-Americans and Asians, while Bush leads Kerry among whites and Hispanics.

12. Hispanics
did not compose a scientifically meaningful sample of the polled population.

13. Article in Sentinel
About 2 weeks ago there was an article in the Orlando Sentinel that said that Kerry was leading among Latinos. There is a large PR Latino community here in Central Florida.
