Too bad Hillary fans, Obama is not going to implode. Not over Wright
or anything else.

Hill's most fervent fans here damned well know that the only chance Hillary has is for Obama to implode. That's been obvious for some time now. The glee over Reverend Wright is simply evidence of that. The smell of desperation is overwhelming. Too many of her supporters don't give a rat's ass if she lies, as she did this morning on NPR or throws the kitchen sink at Obama. Yet they invariably howl if Obama responds to her attacks.

It's highly unlikely that Obama's going down over Reverend Wright. She can play plug ugly from now until PA, but he's not going to let her campaign go unanswered, and it's clear he'll be hitting her back hard. He's a better fighter than pugnacious Hill. He doesn't need to shriek "Shame on you, Hillary Clinton". And the proof that he's a better fighter is that he's winning. All this crap about how he's too soft to fight is ludicrous. He knows how to play the iron fist in the velvet glove.

Hillary fans can cling to hope for as long as they want, but her chances at the nomination are very slim. Pretending it's a tie is just denial. It's not. She's come up short. Thankfully.

1. Every new "-gate" sends the screech monkeys into a tizzy, and still
he marches on, calm and undeterred.

I have really had enough I think. This is just bullshit.

3. I can't see a lot of them--I must be seeing less of those threads than everyone else.
"Ignore" is not something I used at all, until recently.

22. I've put probably 7 or 8 people on it today.
It's amazing how intollerant you can be of them when you are stuck home with the flue.

7. I still have yet to "ignore" anybody here
It's funny. It's a good thing to be here for a while and read about all the career-ending scandals and horrors that all the "ignore"-worthy people are all up in arms about, and then you go out into the real word and realize that this place is about as removed from reality as it's possible to get.

23. I've just heard some really vile things on here today. And...
rather than throwing my mouse through my screen, I figured I'd solve the problem that way.

I'll probably clear the list in a day or two.

4. Not a Hillary fan -but
People are naive if they don't think that the far right isn't going to use this effectively as fodder.

The more this crap comes up and gets dealt with publically now, the less damage it will do in the fall.

8. Not denying that for a moment
but the far right has it's own weak spots and it's up to us to exploit them.

10. They're going to use this, as well as a host of other shit that they're going to just make up.
The point is to stay on top of the debate and not let them control it. Although when they do control it, lately it's been stuff like lapel-gate which have captured the public's interest about as much as Burt Reynolds' last few movies.

If he refuses to denounce Power's comments and fire her, it's all over for the Obama camp.

17. Calling it a tie doesn't make it so ...
we like to call the person with the most votes the "winner". Now, you can go the GOP route and maybe you'll get a pliant court to hand you the nomination, but I doubt that's going to happen.

Hillary raised a lot of money and ran an aggressive campaign against a large array of challengers. She came in second. Not the end of her world; don't let it be yours.

Hillary might sneak in while they're at church and leave it boiling in a pot on their stove.

15. He is unlikely to implode personally, and remains an overwhelming favorite
That said, this Wright business is a Republican operation, which means they have decided they cannot wait until August to define him.

He will face a ceaseless attack on all sides from here on in.

And that's what it is... I don't applaud it, but it was always in the cards.

Hillary will go on, continuing to challenge Obama and win delegates.

And she can't win enough delegates. She can continue with her kitchen sink strategy, but she shouldn't be surprised to have it thrown back on her.

27. Actually, dearie, I was way ahead of the curve here.
I wrote a thread two months ago predicting that Wright would be a problem, but sorry, it's not going to be the problem you hope it will. And Obama is very, very good at dealing with this kind of shit. Furthermore, it's hyperbole to say that he practices hate against whites and Jews. But you get right down on bended knee and pray for it to destroy him, hillbot. It won't work, but it's all you pathetic bots have.

What mindless little idiots forget is that there's a lot of ammunition to use against McCain. Oh, and it's ridiclous for people to claim they know what independents will do 8 months from now. You really shouldn't take your 8 ball seriously.
