I thought, when I signed on, this Wright story would be dominating to the news today after reading the topics here on DU. But it isn't. We are making it a far bigger issue on this board than anyone in the media is right now and that's pathetic. Wake up and realize DU is not representative of what is actually going on out there in the real world. Most people are not talking about Rev. Wright or Obama's church.

The fact is, Wright's comments have been out there since January and this story appears to not have the legs some here were hoping it had. And trying to make it an issue over and over here on DU is not going to give this story the legs needed to derail Obama's campaign.

Hillary is totally unelectable in the GE, but so is Obama once the GOP

I actually had my girlfriend look at it. I'd considered her a third party, since she's leaning towards Hillary. She laughed when seeing the video, we had a discussion about the editing, and now she's says she's "starting to feel sorry for Obama". She says he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I think after this first day of histrionics we'll see it for what it is -- Oprah's church.
