Relax. Kerry is well aware of all the outstanding internet board advice.
"He is not attacking Bush on Iraq." "He is not pressing the 9-11 hearings." "Negative ads work." blah, blah, blah...

Kerry is well aware of all the angles on every issue. He and his team know precisely what they are doing. They will attack or lay low as they see fit TO WIN THE ELECTION.

Although certainly entitled to their opinions, I think it is funny when board posters demand that Kerry run his campaign one way or another. Kerry is smart - he has already considered any possible take that you may have.

1. Now is not the time for him to speak on some issues
let the 9/11 hearings and Iraq make their own news.

However, right now he SHOULD be putting out some positive ads that tell people he has a vision for the future that contrasts with the nightmare * has us in...

4. Right, this is a marathon, not a sprint.
This is not a contest of 'let's see who can be the most publically moral and just first'. It's a contest to see who can make the most people vote for them, and it's a tricky business.

Give Kerry some credit. Everyone thought he was dead and buried before Iowa. Look how quickly things can change.

5. Totally agree
and I know Kerry is aware of his ability to make mistakes and recover. I rely more on his courage, to tell you the truth, and that personal trait among others is what is really taking hold among the voters. Keep up the personal approach and the real record and actions that back this up. Not just speeches or blurbs.

More advice. I also remember other campaigns(might I add, disastrous campaigns) that have said the same thing.(We know, we know, groan. We've looked into all THAT before. We are not idiots!) It's not the advice, but the choices and actions that count. And the candidate's character.

Bush has to rely on something other than reality or wisdom.

6. How do you know? Being aware does not mean having a plan.
Seeing that guy O'Neill in C-Span today, with no counterarguments because he was allowed to talk by himself, was poison. How is he going to stop the smear after it snowballs?

12. Kerry's campaign
I hope you are right...but I don't think that we can afford relaxing.
I think we need to do all we can, although I must say that I don't know what that is, to make sure that Kerry not only stands up true and strong and right-on for the important issues, but that his campaign can convince the citizenship that he will lead us with compassion, honesty and integrity as Bush's campaigns always falsely
manage to brainwash the voters to believe.

I love the armchair quarterbacks here that know better than Kerry how he should run his campaign.
