It's the right thing to do. Wright should no longer be a part of Obama's campaign.

WTF is it with some people and their content-free one-liners? If you want to make a factual assertion, back it up with evidence.

According to the Chicago Tribune:
" the senator does check with his pastor before making any bold political moves."
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/custom/religion/chi-070121-relig_wright,1,271630.story

That makes Wright more connected to BO than Gerry Ferraro ever was to HRC.

18. The Chicago Tribune has put out an awfully large number of hit pieces on Obama.
Oh, right--it's run by right-wing billionaire Sam Zell. I guess we know who he's backing for President. Same person as Rupert Murdoch.

So you're going to spin a right-wing newspaper's slant on what constitutes consulting with a pastor, when even they admit that he and Obama rarely talk one-on-one. As opposed to a formally employed surrogate of Clinton whose whole purpose was representing, advising, and speaking for the candidate.

Keep digging. You're going to need a big hole for that suicide pact Keith talked about.

20. Translation: you can't offer any actual facts to support your statement, so you just repeat it.
Did Obama write the article? No? Then the description is the paper's.

Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 07:43 AM by MethuenProgressive
So your plaitive cry that the Trib hates Obama isn't based on reality.

The right-wing press is out to smear Obama, and Clinton's helping.

5. is this a deliberate attempt to make people think he *was* part of the campaign?
in any case, what exactly about what he said is so controversial? is it the "jesus was black" thing? or that rich white people control our country? one of those things is arguing over pointless trivia, at best. the other is obviously true.

If this really hits MSM (maybe it has and I haven't seen it yet) he should condemn the remarks I saw last night on youtube. Until then, there's no reason to draw attention to this.

link to poll: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=5060038&mesg_id=5060038

Chicago Tribune: ""In Wright he had found both a spiritual mentor and a role model."
"Wright helps keep his priorities straight and his moral compass calibrated."

Poll results so far:
spiritual mentor (33%)
role model (17%)
priority straightener (0%)
moral compass calibrator (17%)
all of the above (33%)

41. once you compose yourself from your manic laughter
perhaps you can provide documentation from the intervening 4 months that indicates that he's no longer a member of the obama campaign's african american religious leadership committee.

absent that, all indications is that he is still a part of the campaign.
