ATTENTION! The Democratic Party is going down a Road of No Return......
and it is a road that we will not be able to crawl back from.

What is happening to many of us is very dangerous, and when progressives start regressing it is nothing good.

We need to stop all of this nonsense before it is too late.

The Democratic Party is about to lose enough voters to where the party will be rendered meaningless and irrelevant for decades to come.

Think about it.......and understand that we are part of the conversation, and each and everyone of us that is willing to go down really low, we become a piece of taking steps backwards.

What I am saying is that this is not the General Election....and the opponent is not from a different party. It is one thing to alienate those who wouldn't normally vote for our party, but that is not what is happening; We are alienating ourselves from each other.

This is simply a warning from where I sit...because it appears that things have taken a turn for the worse.

Peace to you all, and I hope those wanting to win the primaries understand what they are willing to risk. Whether it is Supreme Court Justice or Health Care, in a minute we will have nothing at all.

Mark my words.

1. No it isn't. The vitriolic idiots here on DU aren't the Democratic Party.
There's a PRIMARY going on. The winner will be hardened in victory.

The whining here is just activist-partisan bullshit.

4. Talk to 'real people.' They're tuning this shit out. The big news?
Pictures of Spitzer's HONEYPOT have just hit the wires...this will be the story of the day:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/13/nyregion/12cnd-kristen.html?em&ex=1205553600&en=8b376b18dced9267&ei=5087%0A

She left a broken home on the Jersey Shore at 17 and came to New York City to work the nightclubs as a rhythm and blues singer. Now, at 22, she is the unwitting, and as yet unseen, star of the seamy drama that is the downfall of Gov. Eliot Spitzer of New York.

Kristen, the prostitute described in a federal affidavit as having had a rendezvous with Mr. Spitzer on Feb. 13 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, has spent the last few days in her ninth-floor apartment in the Flatiron district of Manhattan. On Monday, she made a brief appearance in federal court, where a lawyer was appointed to represent her. She is expected to be a witness in the case against four people charged with operating a prostitution ring called the Emperor’s Club V.I.P.

In a series of telephone interviews on Tuesday night, she said she had slept very little over the past week, with all the stress of the case.

“I just don’t want to be thought of as a monster,” the woman said as she told the tiniest tidbits of her story.

21. At least he has good taste :)
In the looks department LOL.
I honestly don't give a rats ass, aside from teh fact that it was a GOPer. IMHO prostitution should be legal, taxed up the ASS, and contained in brothels, with escorts monitored for their safety.

Brothels themselves can have whatever kinks the guy or gals want, every room monitored, and a mini clinic on location with regular testing for jon/janes and workers.

Safe, fun, and profitable for all.

Most people will be sunning on the beach or at the park and not worrying about this shit come July, unless they are obsessed.

And if they're obsessed, they're ALWAYS obsessed....about something.

I have brought up what is fair in politics, and have alienated only those who couldn't answer.

But go ahead and continue to build on my reputation for me........Too many know better.

13. It doesn't have to be about race or gender
you've dragged every smear you can find about her here, no matter how low. No lie was beneath you. No cheap attack too low for you.

I've told you for months it was stupid and unproductive, but you and many others insisted on doing it. It also engendered a backlash against your candidate.

It's a little late now to ask people to play nice.

I had Frenchie on Ignore for weeks for her divisive bullshit -- among the very worst of the O-bots.

Apparently now that Pastorgate has hit the news, the O-bots are more concerned with unity.

I think they took that "wrong road" long ago. I hope the Kool-Aid was good.

Leave it to the Dems to have such a huge advantage as a W legacy and to turn on each other instead.

One way or the other an era within the party will end. Hopefully the Clinton era.

18. What Frenchie said
in spades.

Good God, people, we're going to shoot ourselves, all of our friends and the rest of the world squarely in both feet if we can't find a way to bring this to a close. If it comes to it, and it's getting close, I guess I'll hope the Barack sees his way clear to drop out. I would be bitter about it for the rest of my life and would have to hold my nose pretty hard while I voted for HRC, but I'd do it, and he would, too.

After winning the election I'd devote the next four years to making damn certain HRC was a one term president, but she's still better than McCain.

Progressives or liberals or lefties or whatever y'all call yourselves are doing a 'better' job of eating 'our' young than Dems usually do, as I see it, and consequently, the Dem party may neither survive nor recover.

When my daughters get really angry at me and use foul language, I try NOT to reciprocate in kind. I figure that if we're going to live in the same family, its better that we are able later to forgive and forget, and if we've shed blood, thats not be so easy.

Peace all, and Thanks, Frenchie.
