Poll question: Which victory is more important to you: Winning the primary or winning the General Election?
I can't believe how negative things have become here at DU between supporters of both candidates. I'm going to be honest. I'm starting to feel very pessimistic about November, because it looks like all McCain has to do is sit back and relax while the Democratic candidates, their supporters and the Democratic Party destroy themselves over this damn primary. Hopefully, in 2012, we will figure out a way to avoid this mess again. I think it's CRUCIAL for us to get a Democratic President in 2008, but I don't know if enough Democratic voters feel the same way for it to be a reality.

2. I agree 100%
Once our nominee is chosen, I will support that person 100%. Winning the White House is just too important.

There is a down side to the fight between Hillary and Obama, but there is an up side too. For one thing, the whole Repub smear machine has to be put on hold until our nominee is chosen.

Neither Hillary nor Obama has said anything all that bad about the other one, at least nothing compared to what the REpubs will throw at them.

If Obama is able to defeat Hillary fair and square, he will be seen as strong because even the Repubs don't think of Hillary as a weakling.

If Hillary is able to defeat Obama, she will be seen as formidable because Obama is hugely popular.

3. The sooner this primary ends the better for all concerned.
Campaign $ ..... raised would be better spent on fighting mccain ... then one another. JMHO. Peace.

4. But I think Obama could easily be unelectable after swiftboating.
Its easy to see how Rezko will sink him.
He took a lot of money from an Iraqi through a foreign corporation.
If you care so much about the GE you had better start learning about the pitfalls and be realistic.

6. Michelle Obama not sure if she\'s work for Clinton against McCain
If her \"tone and approach\" don\'t change.

Like \"tone and approach\" are more important than health care and all the bad things McCain would bring to this country.

Michelle has her priorities twisted.

7. I'm a Staunch Dem Since 1976, BUT THIS Election, I'm Voting 4 Hillary If I Have 2 Write Her In!
I'm a Staunch Dem Since 1976, BUT THIS Election, I'm Voting 4 Hillary If I Have 2 Write Her In!

From much laborious research, I have found Obama to be self-serving, disingenuous, deceitful, unreliable and not someone I'd ever want to see in the White House or as a leader of this country.

GW Bush has destroyed so much of what this country was and is supposed to be, and Obama will be the hand to drop the last handful of dirt on the coffin.

It's sad we didn't get John Edwards a genuinely decent man, but Hillary is a strong, bright skillful woman and she is the one -- not Obama!

11. I am screwed no matter who gets elected.
Call me names if you want to, but this primary season has destroyed any hope I have of this country ever getting over itself and joining the 21st century.

Frankly I am cheering for the meteor that will wipe us out.

12. What will be ironic.....if Obama wins the nom.......
cause then Bitter Hillary supporters stay home on the Democratic side, causing Obama to lose the election, and those Hillary supporters, most of them women would lose their reproductive rights as soon as a Justice is replaced.

And to think, that they will have been the cause of it......just so that they could be loyal to their candidate.
