Mark Green on resignations (FALLON and Spitzer), and the rise
of fascism and how we live in a dictatorship

So while you all continue to fight (and yes KO made very valid points)... I am starting to believe that we will NOT see an election.

So keep fighting over this... while the dictatorship gets further entrenched

4. Yeah but the points he is making are the same many of us have made here
screw somebody, (and you are a dem) kiss your office goodbye.

Kill, take the country to war, destroy the economy... who cares?

That is an indicator of the kind of dictablanda we live under

So the issues of he said, she said, discussed here are minor compared to the reality we are living under right now

8. This is not about hillary or obama right now, forget the elections
these boys will do ALL they can to keep power. So unless either of these two is in bed with the establshment that is truly running the show, I don't want to hear it

Expect the election to be stolen, and if for whatever reason your candidate, I don't care which one, is elected... and they don't do the song and dance they will be impeached too

So my question, do you care?

7. You must have an election. Otherwise, you give the peasants a reason to rebel.
Maintain the veneer of democracy, however fragile and worn it may be. At this level of gameplay, appearances are almost as important as the exercise of power itself. Appearing weak may invite many enemies to attack you at once. Appearing strong will ward off all but the strongest enemies against your throne. Better to deal with only strong adversaries than strong adversaries accompanied by an army of weak ones.

The illusion of democracy itself becomes a prison to keep the people contained. It is a fine replacement for prisons built of steel and concrete.

9. Precisely
and this is where we are going.

Why I called it dictablanda... I saw this when I was growing up

Soon we will see the vitamins of this democracy get deployed... once the peasants realize the facade

10. I've been saying this for over a year now.
I don't expect an election to be held this year. These guys can't afford to leave power There's a good chance they'll be imprisoned or executed if they do.

And Congress has unwittingly given them the power to declare any state of emergency to seize total control.

11. You and I have been saying this for a while
but now some more folks have joined us, and they have mikes.

Question is will folks listen and consider the risks here?
