1. He will be running if the DLC has to blackmail him to run
Edited on Tue Mar-11-08 04:15 PM by TechBear_Seattle
Should the Democrats lose yet again, they will need something -- anything -- to hold up as a scapegoat. As a backup-plan, they have already started blaming the gays and a collection of "extreme left-wing radicals" for their refusal to back the Dem candidate.

Added: Yes, I meant the DLC, not the DNC.

2. Harold Ford, jr., Chairman of the DLC, said the other night on Charley Rose
that he couldn't be happier with both our front-runners, Clinton and Obama. I think DLC has what they want. Why add Nader to the mix?

3. Like I said: It gives them a scapegoat if the Dems should lose yet again
It worked brilliantly in 2000 and 2004, even though Nader's effect -- when there was an effect -- was negligible at best and not even worth that when compared to voter fraud and outright election theft. If the Dems lose in 2008 and Nader does not run a strong enough campaign to blame, then the DLC will have to admit that they lost the election fair and square. I think the sun will rise in the west long before that happens.
