MAYOR STREET is so annoyed with Gov. Rendell, he tried to torpedo today's rally for Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry.

The rally came up in a meeting Monday in Street's City Hall office that included state Sen. Vince Fumo, U.S. Rep. Bob Brady, several local labor leaders and mayoral aides.

Street asked Brady, the city's Democratic chairman, to stop the rally or move the date.

"They said it would look like a Rendell rally since it was coming right after fund-raiser for Kerry," said one pol familiar with the machinations.
