The reason to elect a woman president...
Much, much, much less chance of her getting into a sex scandal. Quick, without the google, name five women politicians caught in sex scandals! Hey! I said without The Google!

OK, now I'm gonna be serious instead of joking.

I mean, come on, all these dudes getting caught -- why the hell do so many guys do shit like Spitzer and the guy who was gonna have Obama's Senate seat (the one married to Jeri Ryan) - Vitter, Bill Clinton - the list goes on and on.

I will never understand why all these dudes risk so much to get their rocks off.

1. Good Grief!
That is one of the most sexist comments I have seen in a while, joking or not!

6. I don't think facts are sexist
It's a fact that many, many more men get caught in sex scandals than women.

I want to know why.

Why can't they just not do it, for goodness sakes! Especially a dude like Spitzer who had so much to lose.

inherent and exclusive to men. Women do it too.

That is what makes it sexist. The fact that a woman did not get caught just means that she got lucky.

13. I understand that
but the ones in prominent positions either don't do it or don't get caught.

I seriously don't understand the behavior.

The risk/reward ratio is so unfavorable that the behavior should be unthinkable.

Maybe men have a different weighing of the risks vs the rewards.

I really don't get it.

I don't know how to begin explaining it to you.

8. I really don't get it
The risk/reward ratio is so unfavorable that it should rule out the behavior.

I get the most exasperated with politicians like Spitzer who can do so much good and then get caught doing something so dumb as what he allegedly did.

7. Maybe they do this because they can.
Politicians have been behaving this way and getting away with it probably forever.

I'm certain Thomas Jefferson was not the only President who fathered children outside of marriage.

9. BRAVO! Bravo!
If the studies are true that men think about sex 7 out of every 8 hrs then when do they have time to focus on the problems of the country?

GO Hillary... Save us.

the country practically runs itself!

sex is harder to come by...

(though, to be fair, i would rather have Obama on the job for an hour per day than Clintons for 8:15 (Hillary 8 + Bill's 15 minutes))

12. hmmmm....not much to comment on here, other than the self-righteous bigotry. too bad.
I suppose we should stack up all the gender stereotypes that go the other way to make some political point about why men should rule the world forever. But of course that would be shallow, ridiculous, untruthful, and counterproductive. And I don't believe in them either.

17. You mean
women control the world right now? And men should?

You still haven't tried to explain why they engage in this behavior.

But thanks for the flame, I've actually been expecting it and you're the first.

Self-righteous? Facts are self-righteous.

I want to know *why* they do it. They understand the consequences. I think the behavior is selfish. Especially from someone like Bill Clinton or Spitzer. So many people other than they are affected by it.

18. Since 1789 only 2% of members of Congress have been women:

http://www.cawp.rutgers.edu/Facts2.html

Of course, now we have a whopping 17% of women in the 110th congress. :sarcasm:

Out of the 435 representatives, 76 are females and out of the 100 senators, 16 are female.

I don't doubt that if 51% of all public officials would be women, that more would be caught in affairs and scandals. However, it is also a fact that men are more likely to cheat than women.

19. it'd take about eight hours of typing to explain it to you. and then you'd dismiss
whatever I said, because you're a bigot. That said, I'm still not going to pull out some cliche about women, assume it as fact, ask you to defend it, and laugh all the while. So let's just say you won this one.

Congratulations.

20. Psychology
I saw an interview with a psychiatrist once addressing this very issue. He said that throughout history, wealth and power have always allowed that person to get his pick of young beautiful women. It is a reward, so to speak, for acheiving that wealth and power. No different today. He said that we shouldn't be surprised when a rich powerful man has an affair with a young beautiful woman; we should be surprised if he DOESN'T.

Even today, beautiful women trade their beauty for money and power. How else does Hugh Hefner get three sexy girlfriends to live with? How else does that guy from Poison get 20 cuties to vie for the chance to date/sleep with him?

21. You are dead on correct
Women have always been viewed as "winnings"

So it's either our society telling successful men they are entitled to have sex with young, beautiful women (and conversely that women should offer themselves up) or men just can't keep it in their pants.

I am so glad I was born a lesbian.

23. Lesbian
Men CAN keep it in their pants when the cost of taking it out is big enough. Hey, I'm happily married with kids, and I still think about sex all the time. I would love to sleep with other women. It's in our nature. But I don't because it would be a breech of trust with my wife, and because it would destroy my family. So I choose not to pursue affairs.

I think wealth and power affect a man's image of himself. He starts to see himself as being entitled to more fringe benefits, and also believes he is somehow invulnerable. And some people are just drawn to a dark side that compels them to act recklessly.
