as an aside can I just say how bad I felt for McGovern when Colbert asked if he was on acid? I felt like he was asking my grandpa that. McGovern went along with it so graciously but he really didn't seem to get the joke. It looked like Colbert was actually taken back for a second and didn't know how to respond. So funny.
