Rendell getting trashed on local Pittsburgh radio this morning
Edited on Mon Mar-10-08 10:14 AM by RamboLiberal
by Marty Griffin (hey I'm not a fan). Marty is trashing Ed for his fund-raising pledge on MTP for a do-over for MI and FL on PA taxpayer time and not raising funds for PA needs like volunteer firefighters. Also trashing him for Hillary support. Just found it interesting. BTW, KDKA is RW radio in Pittsburgh for the most part. But it also is 50,000 watt and a big player.

1. I'd be pissed too, but even more so if I lived in NJ.
I find it ironic that Governors of two struggling states want to raise millions to conduct elections in other states.

4. My thought as well, especially NJ
We have a fiscal crisis in NJ that Corzine has addressed so far only by floating a trial balloon that we raise tolls on our roads or sell the NJ Turnpike to private investors. This idea went over like a lead balloon and now he is back to square one trying to solve NJ's debt problem. So now he is going to change his attention from helping NJ to raise funds for elections in Fla and Michigan?

Well, he may help his friend Hillary get re-dos but it may very well come at the expense of making a Republican the governor of NJ next time around.

5. That might have been a mismatch. It is very hard for a state
to make a whole lot of cuts when its governor is swimming in $. Just screams "inequality".

10. Appearances regarding priorities
NJ is a fiscal mess and people want his full attention to try to plan a way to get out of it.

That I could've advised him this was a bad idea, does not speak well for the political savvy of our "dear" Governor.

8. It's understandable considering Pittsburgh is a high populated area
That someone would take offense to his endorsement of Hillary. As I have always said, you can't please everybody.

11. I don't think Fast Eddie has a lot of fans in Pittsburgh
We just voted for him last time cause he was the only alternative to a Republican much as we loved Lynn Swann as a Steeler, we didn't want Lynn for governor.

12. Did you get a chance to hear him on Bill Maher
Two Fridays ago?

What a pompous douche!

He basically announced that the TRUTH of the election is that Hillary is a stateswoman and that Obama is a cheerleader, and also that if the masses of the unwashed populace vote for Obama over Senator CLinton, then the Superdelegates will undo our stupidity and make sure tha Hillary wins the nomination.

Very nobless oblige.

Of course all I coul dthink is, this guy should put it where the sun don't shine.
