2. just like algeria
where the unpopular incumbent somehow got 83% of the vote

"population 1 man, 23837 votes? how do you explain that discrepancy? - The number of votes I cast merely reflect my confidence in the cnadidate" blackadder series 3

8. Saddam got 99% in his last election
And we all know how popular he was.....

I don't believe the bullshit polls. Today MSRNC has Kerry 65/35 over Bush. Tomorrow FAUX will have Dipshit 75/25 over Kerry. It means nothing.

I believe the majority of people in this country are sick of what Junior and the PNAC'ers have done to America and the rest of the world. Problem is that if Kerry doesn't offer any real changes from that misguided direction, he hasn't given them a reason to vote for him. Kerry's choice of a running mate and the platform he runs on are going to be the determining factors in who votes for him.

10. Diebold can only deliver in a close election.
If states which rarely if ever vote Republican suddenly become Bush landslides, it's going to be obvious what took place. California being an obvious example of this.

The only way to avoid the chances of this happening is for Kerry to pick a progressive running mate and runs on a platform which brings liberal voters back from Nader, the Greens, or not voting at all. I'm not sure even that would bring about a 49 state landslide, but it would be a victory decisive enough to prevent electro-fraud. At least without appearing obvious. And if that happens, the revolution will begin November 3.

11. with careful media manipulation anything is possible
MSNBC and FOX are both already reporting that california is "in play" and with the help of arnold bush can win the state. if they keep spinning this nonsense long enough it will be a surprise when bush "wins" california but not too much of a surprise.

3. Unfortunately, yes...
... it will be close. How close, and for whom, is too difficult to determine at this point.

The results should be much different than that, but four years is very little time for the results of what the Bushies have done to sink in on the populace.

If you love what the country represents at its best, a prayer or two might be in order, along with a vote.

4. I voted landslide for Kerry
The revelations that Bush KNEW about bin Laden's plans to crash planes in NYC and DC is proof enough that the sob should be impeached.

5. Way Too Early to Tell

I remember the first election in which I voted. My candidate was marginally ahead at this point in the campaign. After the DNC, he spiked upwards, and it looked liked a cakewalk to my naive mind. The RNC came, and he lost a few points, but was still ahead.

Then the Repukian propaganda machine went into high gear, the candidate did some stupid PR things that made him look silly, and by the time it was over, I felt like I'd been run over in traffic.

14. I agree, an awful lot can happen in 6-7 months
and probably will.

Check back in September, we'll have a better idea then.

6. Kerry by five. Not a landslide, but not a squeaker.

7. Other
It will be a landslide for ABB. People want change, and while some may want Kerry, many just want a change. A VERY nuanced answer.

15. If the election is so close
that again, the winner of the popular vote does not win the electoral vote, then would there be an uprising against the Electoral College System? This election could be that close. There might even be a possibility that Bush would win popular vote but lose the electoral vote.
