5:00. Time to turn off Randi Rhodes.
I've switched off Stephanie Miller (listen to NPR) for the time being, listen to Thom Hartmann for three hours, though even he is getting a little unbearable, turn off Ed Schultz for three hours, listen to Rachel (who clearly has never seen truly negative campaigning) and then turn off Randi.

from talk radio, and the "Hillary bashing," according to something the poster wrote below here

Stephanie Miller is worse than Randi. She had me going to work in such a state I had to stop listening.

12. I don't want them to be "down" with anyone. I want neutral.
Their audience comprises all Democrats and I'm telling you, they are alienating a lot of us. I want them to talk about issues. If they want to entertain us and mock one candidate, mock both.

13. That's how I feel.
I don't think any candidate including the one I support should be given a free pass. I want neutrality from Air America during the primary. By being so openly pro Obama they are basically telling Clinton supporters to go screw themselves. Move On has done the same thing which is why I won't give them any more money and asked them to take me off their e-mail. None of these people are being fair to Clinton supporters. It isn't like we are 2% of Democrats.

14. And it isn't as if the candidates are very different on the issues!
I mean, if one was Zell Miller and the other was Paul Wellstone, they might have a case. But these are two candidates who are very close on the issues.

What I find even more ironic is that these are hosts who have CONSISTENTLY complained that the Democratic congress needs to get a spine, that we need to fight the Republicans at every turn, and on and on and on.

Then they virtually ignored the progressive candidates. Now we have two rather centrist candidates, both of whom are attracting droves of voters, and we suddenly don't hear the "get a spine" meme anymore.

My partner and I are ... maybe WERE big Stephanie fans. We've gone to events to meet her ... and she IS just lovely and funny ... but now forget it.

I fell in love with Randi the first day AAR went on the air but now I feel like as a Hillary supporter AAR and Stephanie don't give a fuck anymore.

It's really sad.

They don't report the news, they report their opinions. It is interesting that the majority of talk show hosts seem to favor Obama.

51. nuetral?
being with out an opinion of each candidate, at this point
would be hard, i think, when you are in the opinion business.
maybe its time to turn them down and listen to what they are
saying? i know when we hear something we dont want to hear
that its easier to blame the messenger or in the extreme case
close our ears entirely. this is only truer when we invest
emotionally in a person.
but sooner or later you have to hear.she is a flawed person
and she will drag her party to the death to serve her
ambitions.
the discomfort you feel is yourself, coming to your senses.

try and be unbiased, and believe that every truly liberal person must agree with them.

It's tragic when power and ego go to peoples heads like that, and they just validate each other.

Sad.

6. I feel your pain. I went on the Air America cruise and just went to the meet and greet...
I couldn't bear to talk with any of them except Paul Krugman and Hartmann for a short bit. The others made their bias very, very clear from the 1st meeting...guided by Mark Green station manager. At the 1st meeting he began by asking who was for Obama and who was for Hillary, driving Hillary supporters to the bar. It was so childish and biased I couldn't believe it. I expected better from them in the fairness and WELCOMING department, since we all paid a few grand to be there. Randi and Rachel et al...were very friendly at the meet and greets, but sure didn't oppose Mark Green's obvious efforts to make the entire affair into an Obama Love-In. It was very disappointing, like their 'coverage' of this election has been.

Turned out I was happy to relax after I realized that spending a cruise in meetings all day was actaully a pretty dumb way to vacation.

15. Yes. My husband and I and some other HRC supporters asked for a HRC meeting after that episode, and
Mark Green started the next panel by saying there was "A woman who was an unhappy Hillary supporter who wanted to have a meeting, and if he could have that person's name, he would address it." It was so biased and hostile it was surreal...like he was the CIA. All we asked was for them to announce that any other HRC supporters who wanted to meet with us after the panel, please stay afterwards. Not only wouldn't he announce that, but made it seem like A LONE WOMAN asked about it, and asked for her name like she was on trial.

The worst part was that when we asked for the sidebar, I noticed out of the corner of my eye as we were walking away that he and Randi were standing right behind us and had heard it all.

I laughed out loud and left after that. I am outspoken, but it was such an obvious waste of time, and I needed a vacation! I've had cancer and 3 surgeries in 2 years, and don't have the energy or time for that anymore. Life is too precious to me to waste it on people with cotton in their ears.

I did talk with Paul Krugman for a bit about health care and being for Hillary, which was nice. He didn't endorse anyone to me, but listened to my personal story and talkeds about what he wrote on the different health care plans.

Randi was very nice, told me I was gorgeous, was sweet....and Rachel too, but like I said, didn't take issue with what was so onviously happening.

Oh, and get this.....one panel was supposed to be about the media coverage of the election. My husband went and said they didn't mention once the sexism at MSNBC or CNN et al... nothing about Shuster or Tweety or ANYTHING. It was a joke.

That was the one panel I wanted to go and say soemthing at, but I just couldn't take anymore by then and like I said, really needed to take care of myself.

I feel bad that I didn't try to say more, but it seemed so useless and I had no need to feel attacked on vacation and while trying to recuperate.

17. I think you need to send an email to someone, possibly Rachel Maddow
I've met Randi Rhodes in person and she was nice, but sometimes she gets on a rant, and belabors the same point over and over. Often, she doesn't have complete information and then has to retract it later, which I find kind of humorous - why waste a good rant if you have to retract it?

I'm sorry this happened to you, but it does prove my point, so thanks!

23. Oh, another hilarious bit....
The 1st night I was in the piano bar, and Mark Green and Randi with others were sitting at the circular 'bar' right around him (The piano player). They were all laughing and having fun, requestiong songs,,, it was cool, then Randi left.

After that, the others got more drunk and soem of them started hounding this poor guy (piano player) grilling him if was a 'liberal' and when he was like 'huh?" they went on and on telling, kinda drunkenly half shouting, why he had to be one....with such stupid 'reasons', one of which was a woman saying that Rethugs hire prostitutes for their conventions and liberals are classier than that (sad, I know)

THEN THE Piece d'resistance.......they were all so busy enjoying listening to themselves yak that they completely missed the guy saying "ACTUALLY, I'M MORE OF A SADIST!"

I busted up (was sitting nearby) laughing out loud, and one of them turned to look at me like 'what's so funny'?

I wanted to say 'Hey, shouldn't one of you ask if that meant he has people tied up in his garage or something?"

UNBELIEVABLE

31. Me too! The other weird bit was that my husband and I are 49 and 51,
and we were among the youngest people on the ship and in the AirA crowd. I thought it was funny because people are always going on about how young the Obama crowd is, or he draws out young people so much. Granted, young people can't afford a cruise so much, but it was still funny. Even Randi mentioned it on Monday when she got back....that the people were great, and well educated, like this one guy who had like 4 degrees and she said 'but, you're like 90', and he said it's never to late to learn.

We'd wander through the empty disco at 10pm...it was eerie.

10. Let's face it, there is no more fair reporting
left. One thing this primary season has taught me is that the Liberal reporters can be just as close minded and biased as the righties. I don't even know where to get news from anymore. It's so frustrating. I don't expect my candidate to get a free pass. I do want fair reporting and Air America is just not doing it. It should be called Air Obama.

i dont have a candidate in this race.. both sides are Devolving, i cant take it anymore.. i dont want to change your mind.. i do hope you grow up and take the high road and quit slandering good people because they support another candidate.. i dont like either one, and i certainly dont like what people like you--on both sides--are doing to the forum, turning it into Freeperville.

if it wasn't for AAR we would have NO VOICE AT ALL. i dont like people like ED, but they represent a faction of the party, an important part.. and they vote. randy annoys me sometimes, but she is the major voice revealing the inside conspiracy's, and behind the scenes info on nearly every major news headline.. she has many many insiders feeding her information.. we would never get otherwise..

18. I cannot stand Randi Rhodes, even when I agree with her
I find her absolutely grating to listen to.

If I were in charge of Air America, I would program the following:

Stephanie Miller as the entertaining host for a few hours
Rachel Maddow for a few hours as interesting and informative
Sam Seder as interesting and informative for a few hours
see if I can hire Keith Olbermann to do 1-2 hours, heck, the guy could read sports scores and be interesting
hire Jim Hightower

I would lose the following:
Randi, Mike Malloy, maybe Thom, definetely Ed

And our SF Station, the "Green 960" concept sucks. At 3pm or 4pm I'm wanting to hear about the day's news not about recycling.

48. /signed and doublesigned - cannot freaking stand her
I seriously have no idea how she has gotten this far.

She makes bizarre kneejerk reactions to situations that have a degree of complexity, and then essentally calls the callers dumb if they don't agree with her.

Last fall, callers were making the case that congress should just not fund the war. Randi would flip out on these callers, calling them names, claiming they were disconnected from reality, etc. Funny thing was that almost every other host on Air America that day (all of which are considerably more intelligent than her)were calling for that same solution. One caller even mentioned that Thom had spoken about it. Randi slowed her rhetoric then.

But honestly, how does she get these ratings? She is god freaking awful.

The only time I laughed listening to her show was when the engineer had her headphone's volume too high, and she started screaming bloody murder at him.

Maybe not true of all of them, but there are a lot of Obama supporters who like to use the 'f' word, and then throw in a few more insults along with it.

Who ARE these people? I know the right-wing media has spend 15 years carefully cultivating people to hate Hillary Clinton, but I did not realize that they had been this successful.

52. I've always found it funny how all the major liberal entertainment personalities are for Obama
I had to wonder where Hillary supporters go for their infotainment these days.

70. It's true!
Sometimes, you can't even make this crap up, it's so good.

Rush didn't interview him, but Clinton was interviewed by another host filling for Rush.

67. I think that this is self-explanatory and should tell you something.
When they are all so pissed as to be against Hillary, you have to realize that she crossed the line, or threshold as she would put it.

75. The Hillary cultists don't tolerate dissent against Her Royal Highness.
Olbermann used to be cool, then he criticized Hillary, now he's EEEEEEEEEEVIL!

Randi Rhodes used to be cool, then she criticized Hillary, now she's EEEEEEEEEEEVIL!

Same with Thom Hartmann, now he's EEEEEEEEVIL.

Mike Malloy is EEEEEEEEEEVIL!

As is Rachel Maddow, Jay Marvin, Ed Schultz, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, etc. etc. etc.

And they call the Obama fans a cult...
