U of Penn Dems support Obama
Last night, the Penn Democrats endorsed Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for president, despite debate about whether to endorse a candidate at all.

The endorsement required a two-thirds majority to pass.

Following the vote, College sophomore Mukul Sharma, Penn Dems vice president, said the group will do "whatever it can" for Obama and wants to host a visit for either the senator or his surrogates before the April 22 Pennsylvania primary.

The Penn Dems will help organize events, walk door-to-door in the Philadelphia area and call registered voters on behalf of Obama's campaign.

The group endorsed in both the 2006 and 2007 elections, promoting Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-Pa.) and Mayor Michael Nutter, respectively.

5. In the Servants' Quarters.
I used to work there. A lot of "Penn people" really do think like that (students and "professionals" -- but fortunately, not all of them). It's amazing.

On the other hand, Harvard may have its share of "knobs", but the school is a lot more egalitarian than I would have thought (I have a friend who worked there). Equally amazing, and not a little ironic.

7. That's right, students don't count
They're not "real Democrats", after all.

Here's an interesting tidbit from the 2004 exit polls: people under 30 were the only age group to vote for Kerry. Bush won the white working class.

8. Usually they have provisions to allow them to endorse
But usually by a super-majority, as Obama won with the Penn Democrats
