2. You didn't hear?
Jesse has already said that he's running in 2008. He wants Charles Barkley for his running mate.

This is not a joke. It was in the papers last week. He's running as an independent in 2008.

3. John (W-Gate) Dean for Veep
Can I post this in two different threads? Unfortunately I couldn't start a new thread since I don't have enough posts.

Dean would keep the focus on the secrecy in the WH. I believe he has learned his lessons from the Nixon presidency, unlike the retreads that are currently in the Bushovik administration. As a former Repub, he should have some credibility with conservatives. I also suspect he's much more trustworthy than McCain... Of course, I don't know his position on a lot of things, but I don't think that matters too much. On some of the most urgent issues, I'm not sure any of the possible candidates have anything reasonable to say or do on these issues (ie, like germ-line engineering, nanotechnology, peak oil, climate change. The best person for that might be Bill McKibben, but I don't think anyone's ever heard of him!)
