Edited on Sat Apr-03-04 11:43 AM by PROGRESSIVE1
PART-TIME low-wage McJobs!!!

We CANNOT let Bushler get away with telling us that these jobs are going to keep the economy afloat.

Question, how do we do this?

Also we must remember that there are more people unemployed now.

This number is a little too HIGH!!!

Remember those 71,000 grocers in California and the 70,000 construction workers who were not working in Feburary.

1. Average folks aren't going to equate the quality of their lives with one
report.

This is Kerry's ad currently slated to run in the states hit worst:

2. he met with Robert Rubin and John Sweeny of afl-cio yesterday
to discuss economic issues. rubin himself said on air america that the jobs are mostly part time and don't make up for many of the types of jobs lost. and in addition these jobs don't provide health care, vacation and other benefits. i'm sure kerry is preparing a good response. he needs to do it in a way where it explains the jobs don't make up for what is lost but in as simple as way as he can so people get his point.

3. AFL-CIO ads
Are also hitting the TV at least here in Washington State. The ads that we get here are by Media Fund and I believe AFL-CIO and they really hit the job issues.

I think it's too early to see the real effect of these figures. Let's see if those who just went back on unemployment hoping for a job actually get one. When that figure doesn't go down, but might go up, we will see the real situation for all to see.
