Why did Senator Clinton roll over and play dead in February post 2/5?
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 01:32 PM by Tropics_Dude83
I don't get why she rolled over and let Obama win 60-40, 65-35, etc., in all of the post 2/5 contests. If she had fought Obama tooth and nail in each post 2/5 February state, his pledged delegate lead might have been negiglibe especially after last night. He is still ahead by a huge amount in pledged delegates this morning with supers bringing Senator Clinton up a little.

Any idea the thinking behind this? I mean she might have handed Obama the nomination just by that virtue even if she were to go on a tear here on out.

She should have fought for every vote in those states. She could have made Virginia competitive, Wisconsin, Maine.

5. What are the final estimates on how much he outspent her in Wisc? 5/1-8/1?

2. Because she was hoping for colossal victories yesterday.
She didn't get them--and with the remaining states overwhelmingly friendly to Obama (with the only possible battlegrounds being PA, WV, and possibly KY) she's running out of time.

3. Obama's got game. Hillary don't.
She expected 2/5 to wrap up the nomination for her all along. From all available evidence she simply had no concrete plans for how to compete post-2/5.

4. Obama got 9 out of 10 black voters in MD, VA, SC, GA where 40% Dems are black.
Women don't vote in a bloc.

So, Demographics were leaning against her.

7. No money? So what
Go into the states, talk to as many voters as you can, ask for their help, give major policy speeches, local interviews with TV stations.

Every delegate counts.

6. Because her "firewalls" in Ohio and Texas were going to even things up...
Remember, she's DLC...they don't do 50-state plans.
