Rasmussen daily graph for 3/5/08 - Obama down 1 (43), Clinton up 2 (48)
Don't get excited. National polls mean nothing. All that counts is the remaining states. Rasmussen sucks. Obama's moving steadily toward the nomination. Ho hum.

(I was going to joke the actual Rasmussen numbers are Obama 48, Clinton 43, and I reversed them as a favor to the Clinton fans. But I thought someone might take me seriously.)

By the way, note how the All Others line is finally sliding down. Whichever one is on top on a given day, voters do seem to be coalescing around Obama and Clinton.

These graphs are all contained on one Web page at http://www.dvorkin.com/rastrack.html

Gallup now has a daily tracking poll graph:

(Pretend that the 10 and 20 lines are actually 0. Does anyone know how to make Excel label different parts of the axis differently?)

4. Come Convention Time, Those Numbers Will Be HUGE.
Mark my words: Whoever can claim national numbers in their pocket, will arise as the nominee.

(disclaimer: If things keep going neck and neck as they are now)

6. Which numbers?
Do you mean that if one of the two has a big lead in polls like this one, the superdelegates will switch to that one?

9. The weird thing is that Hillary is about to jump to a very big lead, despite being 'finished'
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 10:31 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
Neither Gallup nor Rasmussen trackers include any March 4th bump.

She will have a 10+ lead in two days, and break 50% easily for the first time, even while people are calling for he to drop out.

A crazy, crazy year.
