OSAMA FOR OBAMA MAN @ Hillary Party in OH Ties to RW Controversial Evangelist ROD PARSLEY
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 11:09 AM by mod mom
Controversial ABC Video of "Obama for Osama" Tee shirt wearer at Hillary's Election Night Party is Bexley OH businessman Todd Appelbaum (NOT ELBAUM AS THE ARTICLE STATES):

Controversial Clinton Guest: 'Osama for Obama'

March 04, 2008 10:42 PM

ABC News' Kate Snow and Eloise Harper report: A controversial party guest was spotted at Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's election night party in Columbus, Ohio Tuesday.

He was hard to miss. He was the one wearing the "Osama for Obama" t-shirt.

Columbus resident Todd Elbaum told ABC News his friend makes the t-shirts.

Elbaum did not hold back on his views of Obama when he was interviewed by ABC within full view of a Clinton staffer.

"The truth is he was born a Muslim, his father was a Muslim, his mother married a Muslim after divorcing his father. His grandfather was a Muslim. It doesn't matter. But what does matter is when Obama said he was never a Muslim. He was a Muslim. He was born a Muslim. He was a Muslim for six years of his life," Elbaum said.

Watch the VIDEO HERE.

APPELBAUM HAS TIES TO CONTROVERSIAL RW EVANGELIST ROD PARSLEY:

Patriot Pastors

By: MARILYN H. KARFELD Senior Staff Reporter

-snip

Todd Appelbaum, a 44-year-old native Clevelander who has lived in Columbus for the past 25 years, attended the event along with a number of Republican government officials, including Blackwell. Former chairman of Columbus's chapter of American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Appelbaum is now active in a Jewish-Christian coalition that works to support Israel and other issues.

Evangelicals are loving patriots

Appelbaum, who brought three Orthodox rabbis to the pastors' gathering, attended in order to meet Parsley and to develop deeper relationships between the Jewish community and conservative evangelicals.

"Our freedoms are threatened, our Judeo-Christian beliefs are threatened by radical Islam," Appelbaum says. "If western civilization is going to be saved from these evil forces, who don't share our values, it has to be done through Christianity. There are only 14 million Jews throughout the world. There are two billion Christians. They are the only ones who can stand up to radical Islam."

17. No, he was out with McCain a few weeks ago
this putz was just out stirring up trouble. And no one from the HRC campaign was mean enough to kick his ass on live camera, or as a human being in general (unlike the whippin one of our party members would have taken at GOP event if we walked in wearing Pro life shirts, or a GLBT equal rights tshirts...the GOP would have kicked our asses twice because they are NOT as friendly to human beings who have differing views)

I am guessing he snuck in, then was "escorted out" once he was identified...right after the interview.

As in - 'excuse me, but this person does not speak for our campaign - sir, we would like you to leave.'

I'm looking forward to seeing this denounced and/or rejected.

44. I work in media...
and at political events, there's usually a handler floating around with each camera team. OK, during a celebration controls may have been lax...but it'll be interesting to see if the campaign issues any statement today distancing itself from this guy's remarks.

I'm trying to imagine the fuss you'd get if some Bushite showed up at an Obama event recycling one o the standard RW conspiracy theories about Hillary clinton while wearing an Obam button.

45. If you really think
that the Clinton campaign would knowingly allow this idiot to come into their event and give an interview to the national news media, well I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

I've attended many a political victory party and had reporters interview me without a candidate's "handler" being present. It was lax security on the Clinton campaign's part and no doubt someone will catch hell for it. There is a running joke in Ohio about how entering the city limits of Columbus causes an immediate drop in political and common sense IQ. I've seen C-bus Dem leaders sit at fundraisers with Republicans and talk inside party politics with them, much to my astonishment. IOW - some C-bus Dems are fools and this slip up comes as no surprise.

With such big crossover interest of disenchanted GOP'ers in the Dem race supporting both candidates for a myriad of kooky reasons, we should expect to see many of them working their way into Dem events, forums, etc. and bringing all their crazy, nasty stuff with them. Sometimes bipartisanship isn't a good thing.

20. Warms the heart doesn't it - her new base
Her motto, win at all cost. Trash the opponents with untruths. Prove that she is as tough on terrorist as Bush, McCain and might as well throw in Rove tactics.

Why does her rhetoric make me feel she likes our military presence in Iraq and that Iran, etc., need to be taught a lesson like Saddam. She may need to be reminded that Osama Bin Laden, not Obama, is the bad guy.

It appears the racist issue will be a major one. Be it Black and/or Muslim........

Damn Hillary, whose side are you on? Talk to me. Convince me my fears are for nothing.

22. Obama
I am the person in the video. The issue is NOT that he is a
Muslim. Religious freedom, tolerance and acceptance are very
important and one should not vote against someone because of
their religion. The issue is Obama is not telling the truth of
his early years of childhood. Muslims consider children of
male Muslims to be a Muslim. Why does Obama hide this fact?
His entire family is Muslim, except his mother, who re-married
when Obama was still a boy and now considers herself a Muslim.
He should NOT be ashamed of his background. Today he is a
proud and active Christian; that is great. We should accept
and embrace Obama as a Christian, but he should not deny his
past and certainly not be ashamed of it either.

Regarding Rev. Parsley, I meet Rev. Parsley only twice, and
haven't seen, spoken to, e-mailed etc. to him in over three
years. The one time I did speak to him, it was a 30 second
conversation. I went to the event to see what he was all
about. Frankly, I go to events for the left and the right!!!
Regarding Radical Islam, my quote above is correct.

for a couple of hours because of the volume of hits

How can you argue that Obama's mother 'now considers herself a Muslim' when she's been dead since 1995? According to Obama, his half-sister in Hawaii, and a friend of his mother's, she considered herself an agnostic.

Did your friend's t-shirt site also supply with the 'John Kerry for President - of France' t-shirt in 2004? Just asking.

One wonders why he was wearing a Hillary badge last night and arguing the Obama was a Muslim. It's also interesting to him arguing here that Obama's mother 'is' a Muslim, even though this contradicts all information I can find and also the fact that she died in 1995.
